i recall reading this when it came out. It's hard to believe the same guy who wrote MacArthur Park also wrote Wichita Lineman.
My worst song is Rock and Roll Heaven by The Righteous Brothers. It's got lines like "Remember Bad Bad Leroy Brown, yeah Jimmy touched us with that song."

I remember reading that also; I was a big Dave Barry fan. That was written in 1993. I'll bet that his whole column would be completely different today with today's country and rap.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

I love that it appears to be posted under the 'humor' section, and I think that list is definitely done for the sake of comedy. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers, Ember

Although I happen to agree that many of the songs in this list are at least "somewhat strange" for their choice of lyrics or overall theme... it's worth mentioning that they all got air play because they were different enough to get noticed. Note taken.
One of the articles added "virtually every song published after 1972" to the list of worst songs ever. Most of my favorite songs were released after 1972. Generational music bias is a cultural truism ("You call this crap MUSIC? Back in MY day, the music was better! )
Anyway, the recurring topic of what's good and what's bad musically will never be resolved with a general agreement. You have to pick a path and run with it whole-heartedly and then let the chips fall where they may. Some people have made a good living by writing sappy songs. Some have done well with a voice that clearly needs pitch correction, but never got it.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
