Hi Greg,

Wow! This is such wonderful listening.

I love everything about it. Your singing is superb. It carried me along on a journey of eidetic imagery created by the intertwining effect of your relaxed, carefree melody and hypnotic, palm-trees-swaying accompaniment.

To my ears, this is inspired music creation in every way.

All the best,
Noel

Greg ...

Your songs always move me ... move to laugh, move me to cry, move me to realize the talent I'm listening to is some of the best in world .... and I'm among the privileged few who see/hear it before the rest of the world does. What an honor!

You have more talent in one nose hair than many of the pop artists of the day have in their luggage. This is simply gorgeous! I'm awe-stricken.

wishing you the very best ...

Alan

Hi Greg, that really is a sweet song. I enjoyed listening, although the songmarker said Jazz.
It wasn't. It is a song that fits more categories. And you can (still) sing very high and pure. Love that.
I can only agree with the way Noel said it.

Nice day,
Hans

Greg,

Love this! To me, it has that mid 70s Jack Jones feel and vibe...

Excellent song, vocal and mix.

Greg,

Romantic? - yes! Goofy? - Not Even Close. Talent, skill and craft are all required to write really good "simple 'silly' love songs" - and you've got it in spades. The lyrics here are so smooth and "fall on the ear" so well one doesn't even think about the song being "written" - it just IS. Talent, skill, craft.

The production is just as smooth and subtle as the song.

The vocals are typical Greg-Johnson-to-die-for vocals.

And all mixed perfectly.

As good as it gets (which is becoming a standard response to your song posts).

A truly great listen.

Greg,

Oh, boy, your vocal here is so soft and sweet—magnetic. And the production is perfect. Got nothing else to offer beyond my utmost admiration. Outstanding!

All the best,

Deej

I've become a huge fan, Summer Comes Along might be my fave track on the showcase. Now this is right up there with it. I saw Franks in '76, so close I could reach out and touch him. He had the tightest band I ever heard. No critiques, just listening in awe here.

I don't know Michael Franks, which clearly is my loss. I love, love, love this song. Wonderful progression and melody full of sweet turns. Such a great simple lyric so well phrased and sung. There's nothing like a love song to get me "into" the song. And this one is a rare beauty. The band is excellent in this arrangement as well. Just great.

Hi Greg,

By the second bar I had a huge smile on my face.
I've listened twice now and I can't stop smiling - it just does that for me.

I think I've loved everything I've heard from you and this is no exception.
Everything about it is just right. Gosh, I wish I could sing half as well as that.

Lovely chord progression, terrific choice of instruments and a classic mix.

Brilliant.

ROG.

Lovely song, pretty melody and as anticipated a superb vocal.

Thanks Ray! The person who mixed it is far better than I am....maybe a problem with the way I recorded it. Take care. Greg

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
