hello is there a way to reinstall realband independently. im keep getting the error message shown in the image below and i wanted to try to have a fresh instal.
my realband came with the bb2019 and im trying to avoid having to reinstall the whole of bb. thanks
rebuilt styles,songs and real tracks. win 10...amd a10 radeon r6 4c+6g 1.8ghz 64 bit hp envy biab 2023 with 1004 build. styles 1 to 429 plus extras 1,2,3,4 and 6. running as admin,cleaned up returned to factory settings.
Do a master reset instead. To answer your question it's easy to reinstall. Just rerun the whole setup for biab. At some point you'll be asked what to install. Uncheck everything but RB. Or just delete RB,find RB folder on your pg usb drive and copy it then paste into C drive. RB doesn't write to the registry so doesn't need to be "installed".
Does it happen on more than one song? If not, have you tried using Save As and saving that file with a different name to see of it is a disk error or such?
Also, if it is just one song, you may have a backup file of it that you don't know about in the RBBackups folder. You will have to use 'Open Special' or 'Open Backup', can't recall exact wording right now, but they are .bks files so the regular open dialogue doesn't find them.
Hope that helps To me the error looks like a corrupt file issue, since RB reads beyond the end of the file. One other thing to try is to see if a track is running on forever (play it, at the end of the song does RB stop playing or just keep going?). If so, try cutting from the end of the song to measure 2000 on the track(s) and enable the 'Close Gap' option. If the track somehow lost where it was supposed to end this may fix the issue, but probably a long shot.
Below is an old screen shot I did of my various RBBackup folders on different drives .. you'll have one somewhere, wherever you run RB from, probably C:\Realband\RBBackups

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
