Hi everybody,

on how many computers may I let run the program?

I have got an iMac and a MacBook: Is an installation on both possible?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Best regards.

Dear Pipeline,

thanks a lot; good to hear that I may have BiaB also on the road.

And very good that you finally gave me a desired reason to buy my third Mac. I will put it in a buggy.

With kind regards.

With no disrespect to Pipeline i would ask PG because they have started to control the " authorizations " .

I can recall in the Mac Band 2018 version I had to get PG to issue or set up an authorization for a second machine .

However they may have changed the process for the Mac Band 2019 .

Regardless PG is very understanding and more than will to help their customers .

Happy Mac Banding to you Norbert

Says whom? Is there a notice from PG Music somewhere allowing this? I don't see this in the documentation.

As a practical matter, I don't see that the license "phones home" like so many do nowadays. Neither have I observed that it checks for itself on the network with UDP calls. When I installed it onto my new iMac Pro a few months ago, there was no conflict with my 2010 before I took it out of service.

I just did a clean install of 2018 onto my laptop so that I can compare it better with 2019 which is installed as an upgrade to 2018 on my iMP and see no conflict. There is a lot of interaction between 2018 and 2019 so, when my hard drive arrives, I will remove the upgrade and do a fresh install of 2019 to see if that goes away.

Thanks for that. It's good to know. Even better that you asked.

It would be nice if the license spelled out what is ok. Something like, it can be installed on x number of stations as long as only one is in use at a time or some such... Many License Agreements do but one should always let attorneys write the language and that's always expensive.

See, I actually do have more than three Macs plus PCs and lord knows what else... Currently, there are four in my office plus a PC but one's a G4 so I don't think that counts anymore nor do the ones gathering dust in my garage...
