Hi, friends !

It has been just too long time since I was able to post
on the forum ! I truly regret that ! Earlier I was very much involved with
barbershop quartet singing and then there was the trip to Norway I
had to do together with Li - we had to do it before she had to undergo
hip surgery - you know when they take your leg off and put a titan ball upon
it before putting everything back ! So, dear friends, I have for the time being
been her nurse but luckily she´ll getting better day by day !

Talking about Norway, that most beautiful country of my ancestors, I just
finished an mp3 which I am displaying for you here as well as some
pictures from our most exciting trip to that National Park !

Recorded with mixcraft pro 8, comp and rev used.

The Style used is:_PUPLIFT.STY and the instros used are:

Bass: 1268, Synth Pad:1278, Drums: RD:s Praise Worship Uptempo
Guitar 1: 1272, Guitar 2: 1853, Guitar 3:1260 soloist
Vocal Aahs: 3063

Hi Dani,

This is very, very engaging.

I love the groove and your singing sits really well in the mix. In addition, your vocals are warm and comfortable on the ears. Congratulations on a fine job!

I hope that the land of Grieg was a wonderful adventure for you both smile

My best wishes to you and Li,
Noel

Dani,
you've tamed almost all the isbilant sounds and seem to be singing in a register that fits like a glove.

Very nice, Dani! You are showing your versatility here. I will be praying for Li. I had a total hip replacement about 6 years ago. Take good care of her, and make sure she does her exercises, and she'll be like new before long!

So nice to hear a new song from you!

Nicely done, Dani smile It's a really cozy tune - your vocals work fantastically well with the instrumentation, and it's nicely catchy too. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice arrangement, hard to categorize, so sounds quite unique. Your voice is very warm in this range. Never been to Norway, but you describe it and its beautiful nature in a very attractive way.

Talking about Norway

Not been around much myself due to … well life things.

This was not your normal stuff of the surfing era, But you know what I enjoyed this and it was just as good on my side.

Bon Voyage .

Very nice Dani. Liked the support vocals.
They really helped flesh the song out.
The bridge was also a great feature.
many thanks for listing. Rob4580

Not what I was expecting, but (as usual) a pleasant listen. I liked the use of the AAAHs.

Thanks for posting the pictures as well - a bit wet and grey, but looks like fun! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Dani,

This has a cool 80’s alt-pop vibe . . . love the band, and the backing vocals are nicely done. For me, I’d like to see the lead vox come forward just a touch in the mix, but that’s a subjective personal preference, so weigh it against other feedback and your own instincts. A lot of pretty flowers decorating the tune along the way—nice accents and depth on the instrumentation. Enjoyed it!

All the best,

Deej

Very nice Dani. You sound very nice in that register.

Your vocal, the write, the band and the mix are all excellent.

Enjoyed it and best to Li!

PS: Hey, even though I am a southern US guy almost all the DNA matches I get are from Scandinavian countries and particularly Norway. It is a lovely country that Janice and I should visit!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
