Very cool Dave Boy the song takes me back to the 70’s. Your guitar work was just excellent. Chris’s vocal was so good. The piano was nice touch. Well done

The band works, I especially like that right-panned rhythm guitar, gives the song even more edge.

Always nice to be mentioned in the same sentence as Gary Moore! Thanks very much, Janne, I appreciate it!

Wow, Dave. Here's To You actually!

The lead guitar work sits perfectly, and enhances to production with great dynamics.

Vocals are world class.

This is absolutely sensational in every respect.

Hey Steve, thanks, man!

Yeah, that VSTi is great, lots of potential. Price was right too! Although for sure I’ll buy at least one of their other offerings, which is why these companies give stuff away I guess, good marketing strategy.

About time you uploaded a new song I think, it’s been a while!

Yeah, that first one I had was the Joanne challenge for "Paradox of You" in January 2018. I am actually working on a 2nd song now and hope to have it done in a few months. 1 song every 2 years? Sounds like me.... I'm still younger and not quite retired. I use the "I work too much" excuse for not getting songs done! smile

Thanks for asking!

Man Dave and Wow Chris, this may be my new favorite of your excellent catalogue. Stellar sound, great vocal and write, excellent guitar work. This hit the high water mark on all aspects. Very pro and definitely in my wheelhouse. I have always loved minor blues. A superb listen, Tom

Darn, this guitar is just so good, yeah Gary Moore style, the song is professional from start to finish, I feel very insecure at this moment. Great job Dave!!!!! Cliff

Some stellar playing (great tone) and interesting production touches.

All the elements of the song work and it was a great listen.

Super smooth! Man that kick drum really thumps! The vocals and harmonies are superb! And I could have listened to the lead guitar for another ten minutes!

Well Done!

Hi Dave & Chris,

this is really great stuff, wow.

A very good write, perfectly arranged and what you can do as a team is amazing: Fantastic vocals (remind me a bit (but just a bit!) on the early Christine Perfect (later Christine McVie)and when the intro started I thought: 'Yeah, finally someone remembers the Zombies.

Chris, you sure know how to express yurself in a Blues song (and write one, too) and Dave - you know that I really love your stylish playing. And for someone who never got the tone out of his guitars that really satisfied him (me, unfortunately) I'm always stunned by yours.

Simply marvellous!

Cheers,

Stefan

I'm not 100% on the accent guitar's distortion as it's a bit fizzy.
Excellent stuff.

Hi Ray,

I'll revisit that guitar if we ever decide to do more with this song, easy enough to dial back the distortion a bit.

Thanks for the listen and comments!

But never the less, I really like this song, the sologuitar and -of course- the singing of Chris. Very well done!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
