iLok though, so only those who are OK with that need apply
I am not a big fan of these types of effects, but this is getting good press in other forums, it does seem to have a lot of presets and finally the price is right. So you can decided.
Thanks for sharing Dan. Their reverb plugin was offered free on the Focusrite Plug-in Collective a year or two ago and it sounded pretty good. I believe I have that one on an iLok as well.

From reading the description, you only need to have an iLok account and use the software version of the iLok Manager, so you shouldn't need an actual iLok dongle. The downside of the software only authorization is you are tied to the machine you install it on and if that machine ever dies, there goes your license.
The software supports both the hardware dongle and software based authorization. My AIR products, for example, allow two installations, so I have one license on my dongle (which I can move from machine to machine, and one license using software on my laptop (so I don't need too use the dongle).
So as long as you are willing to install the iLok software, you can use this plugin.

Great info John that I wasn't aware of, so as I understand it, if my computer goes totally beyond repair, and I get another one, I can't simply install the Ilok manager on my new computer sign in and all will be well to use the software Quadravox?
I wonder is there any way to totally back up, to the Ilok dongle to cover these eventualities? though I do think the dongles seem expensive enough.

In the case of my Eventide 2016 Stereo Room Reverb, it allows 2 activations. I'm only using the one attached to my iLok stick. The icons on the screenshot show you can either attach it to the iLok device OR the local PC.
Only three days remaining. If you are on the fence here is a bit more info on the product with a demo video. By the way, my install went fine, but it is 30 minutes of my time I will never get back.

Excellent that it's two activations. That helps protect your license.
Unfortuantely, it is a little more difficult than that. If you want to deactivate one of your two installations using the software ILok you need to have the machine available to you. Once the machine is gone, the ability to get your activation back "easily" is also gone.
I have got the software below as in screenshot, Most of the software is "one of two activations used " in the about info.
So as I quite like some of the synths here, Just wondering is it really worthwhile to buy and back it up to an Ilok dongle which costs about £40 probably?
I am not atall familiar about doing a backup or putting the other free licences on the Ilok dongle, I know that doing so can enable me to use it on another computer which I wont be doing anyways, unless this one gives up the ghost.
I don't know if companies stick rigidly to the rules if told that a computer went bad, and will supply another licence to an existing user in the above situation.
So probably what it boils down to is it really worthwhile to buy and put remaining licences on the dongle. Thanks.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
