I was remixing songs and thought I might repost this song. Janice sings a beautiful harmony.

The song is a love letter to my two children.

I Will (2-2-13)

I will build you a strong house to spare you heartache
and to keep you from drowning a sturdy new boat
I will search for good omens to guide through life
I will sing you jubilees for your everlasting soul

when scallywags call I will turn them away
for your hunger pangs I will dig you a row
I will rock you to sleep from a long day of strife
and when you curse my name my silence I will hold

I will kiss you goodby cause I know you can't stay
I will swallow my tears until I'm alone
I will sleep with your pillow all through the night
If I can't be your rock let me be your stone

may the love that I woven warm you someday
then memories of me might stave off the cold
may the lessons I've taught you fit you just right
and the old house I built you, will you one day call home

This is really good! You two are excellent together. I liked the orchestration build up starting with a single guitar to a full band then repeating the process. Excellent!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Lot to like here, especially for me the dynamics and the rhyme pattern, which took it up another level IMHO.

Ms. Janice does a grand job alongside your vocal.
A lovely, plaintive feel to this remix.
COOL.

I remember this fine song- you write avoiding cliches and turning familiar images in a memorable, personal way.
Nice build to this version with that almost acapella break at 3:00... and of course Janice`s unmatched way of supporting your lead vocal.
Really, really good!

COOL.

Thanks for mentioning my small part in this. It's one of my favorites and as I
sang it at a friend's wake it will always remain in my heart.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
