Oh boy, Leon, that was (resp. IS) quite a challenge for an old german fart: You wouldn't believe how many differnt meanings the word 'sucker' has, when you look it up in the dictionary.

And worse still: None of them seems to fit 'tearing the roof off...'). And the entire web doesn't deliver an explanation...

But I think I nevertheless did get the picture - thanks a lot for a very kind comment which not only made my day but also kept me busy half of it ;-)))...

Take care,

Stefan

Dear Loren,

reading one of your comments (which, in fact, is a far too profane expression for those artificially turned linguistic masterpieces)is always a real treat, no matter whom they are adressed to.

But, of course, it's especially thrilling to receive one of them yourself - couldn't imagine anyone wouldn't be excited.

And this one is not only thrilling, it simply makes me blush, so thank you so much for your incredibly nice compliments that mean even more to me as I know you're a great musician yourself..

Well, the good ole'USA - in fact I've never been there and to tell the truth I've only spent 8 or 9 holiday weeks in European countries where English is spoken in my entire life. But I've always loved the English language (maybe I do now more than ever), started early to occupy myself with American comedy (you know Tom Lehrer was and is my Lighthouse of Humor) and then there was all that incredible music fom the UK and the US (ha, don't forget Down Under: Easybeats, 10cc...).

I really consider myself blessed to be able to combine these three favorites of mine by writing and producing songs and trying to put some funny videos together. And the very best thing is that I can do all this together with Maha.

I'm very much pleased that you like our 'stuff' and (just for the record smile ) there will be more coming soon.

Thanks again for your wonderful comment.

All the very best to you,

Stefan

Hi Funk-Janne,

what a treat to read your comment - thank you so much for it !!!

I don't think I will be able to avoid writing another funk song in the future, and it's great to know in advance that there will be at least one guy enjoying it cool

Thanks again, Janne, and take care,

Stefan

Hello Robert,

thank you very much for those very kind words - I really appreciate them a lot.

I have to admit that your words about the voacals came as quite a surprise to me, because I think that there are so many brilliant singers here on the forum that make me feel really small whenever I heear them singing. But, what the heck, I'm a bit flattered now and that ain't that bad, I must admit smile ..

Hope you enjoyed the video as well - thanks again for taking the time to listen.

All the best,

Stefan

Thanks a lot, beatmaster - glad you liked it.
And yes, the vid took exceptionally much time - I think I first started to work on it in summer 2018 (but not continuously, of course)

Regards,

Stefan

Dear Alan,

it's so nice of you to write those german lines - I really, really appreciate that a lot.

Well first things first: Am I glad to read that Di is feeling so much better now. Better than in many years - well, that sounds terrific !!!! Maha and I do hope that this will even improve so you can finally drop that packsack filled with sorrows off your backs.

Alan, your words on our song and video are very, very generous - you know how much I admire you for your songwriting and general musical abilities so evry word you say counts (at least!) double - so thank you very much for your compliments.

Please apologize that it took some time to reply to your comment - Maha and I are still a little under the weather, recovering, well, slowly, well, very slowly recovering from the first food intoxication of our lives - man, that really is something you can do without; I have never felt that bad before in my life.

All the very best to Di and you, my friend, and thank you once again for your lovely words.

Hello Hans,

no need to be jealous, definitely no need and no reason - the things you're doing are so great !!!!!

But thanks a lot for your compliments anyway, I'm very glad that you enjoy our stuff (even more as I know that the Dutch don't consider Germans being very funny in general smile )

And just for the record: I've got good news for you: There will be at least two (as you call them) 'combination videos' out not too far from now and there will be a Hans cameo, too, in one of our next vids. Just send 500 Euros to my bank account...

Groetjes naar mijn favoriete buurt, Noord-Holland,

Stefan

Hi dave,

so glad to read you enjoyds our production - thanks a lot for your friendly comment.

As to the horns arrangement: They're never RT, I always write them using the piano roll window and have the resulting MIDI files synthesized by Big Fish's Vintage Horns - they really sound great and I'm very glad I came across them.

All the best,

Stefan

Hi Floyd,

thanks a lot for your very kind feedback.

We really appreciate everything you said, and I am especially happy that you mentioned the mix - Maha really spent a lot of time on it, re-mixing it from the scratch time and time again.

All the best,

Stefan

Hi stefan,

Can't wait to see those video's, but only €500? Are you so cheap?
It sounds like humor, but we (the dutch) know Germans are not known for that...

Have a nice day,
Zum hören,
Hans

Nicely done! The video made me chuckle, and the tune is actually super catchy. Love the funk vibes on it, and thought the mix was professional sounding too. Makes for an engaging watch and listen.

Thanks for sharing smile

Firstly, glad to hear Maha is better and the mix is superb.
This had to be quite a challenge to mix...so many nuances.

Janice said the video gave her happy feet smile That's her way
of saying makes me want to dance!

Your creativity seems to know no bounds. Heck, even if the
music wasn't so good the video would be entertaining but
then with the great music it's the total package.

Like all your video productions this one requires several views
to even begin to catch all the cool subtleties.

The shoutout to Wolfman was most cool.

And you are very much the funkster!

And the two of you at the end was worth the price of admission!

Sooooo much fun!

J&B

PS Thank you for throwing our mug shots on the wall! And the website
link was very thoughtful.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
