Undeserved

Undeserved by Jubilee Reed
A love song our Heavenly Father God.

This is song 4 of 4 for the upcoming EP.

Jubilee wrote this song from the point of view of thanksgiving and gratefulness.
Tech stuff!!!
We created the chord charting in BIAB. Fussed about for the right style then listened to this version for a week or so before doing any recording.

Since we were getting so “pro” by now we did all the recording in an afternoon.

It also happened that Jubilee had had her vocal coaching session earlier in the day and they came up with some great ideas for the harmony.

Undeserved
Jubilee Reed

Here I am before you now
My heart is in my hands
I am a broken child
But I know you understand
You love me just the way I am
You show me love that’s more than enough

It chased away the fears that had gripped my heart
I was a wayward child
You gave me a brand new start
No more wandering ‘round in the dark
You show me love that’s more than enough

It’s overwhelming and undoubtedly undeserved
A pursuit never-ending
How can I describe with words what you’ve done?
My whole life has just begun

I was blinded
I was trying to go my own way
Though you were showing me your best for me
I was blinded
I was trying to go my own way
Though you were showing me your best for me
I needed to learn
I needed to learn to trust you
I needed to learn
I needed to learn to trust you

It’s overwhelming and undoubtedly undeserved
A pursuit never-ending
How can I describe with words what you’ve done?
My whole life has just begun

Lovely song. Jubilee has a beautiful voice. Acoustic accompaniment was perfect for the song. Well done

I love the guitars as well. Jubilee has a kind of Norah Jones vibe for me on this one. Great vocals.

Wow- you knocked this one out of the park. It's been said already, but man are those vocals incredible. The stripped back instrumentation fit perfectly also.

Thanks for sharing smile

This is just so good in so many ways.

Sensational lyrics.

Perfect vocals.

Musically beautiful.

Creative and sensitive backings.

Jubilee has really delivered. Amazing.

Hi Jubille and Marty ...

This truly is a lovely song and Jubilee delivered it with passion and excellence. She has a soft, sensitive voice that flourished with her passion for the song. As someone else previously mentioned, I also detect a hint of Norah Jones in her vocal delivery.

That was a real treat. She's a very talented young lady. I'm sure you are very proud of her.

Alan

PS: Loved the acoustic opening!

Really nice! Lovely vocals, nice harmonies, catchy guitar.

As Video Track mentioned, the minimal instrumentation is especially nice.

The vocal seemed a touch soft and dry, but that may be that I'm used to a more aggressively compressed and processed sound.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Well written, produced and sung.

The nice vocal reminded us a bit of Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek -- a good thing.

All sounds excellent on the monitors.

Enjoyed it!

Thanks to all for taking the time to listen and for all of the thoughtful commentary.
We had a lot of fun making these tracks in my studio.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
