Get Me Back To You

I went out late last night to see were you had gone.
Searched every bar and honk tonk for you.
Been searching high and low till my tear drops start to
flow.
Please find a way to get me back to you.

Chorus
I'm going down heart break road again.
Your coming back but I don't know when.

Bridge

Chorus
I'm going down heart break road again.
Your coming back but I don't know when.

Verse

Then I saw you walking bye mascara stained your eyes.
You covered up your face not let me see.
Though there's no need to cry wont be fooled by your lies.
Honey wont you come on back to me.

Bridge

Chorus
I'm going down heart break road again.
Your coming back but I don't know when.

A fast rockabilly folk style that features a classic rockabilly electric guitar
playing blues and rock 'n' roll licks.
Two acoustic guitars strum similar patterns
but one has six strings and the other has twelve.
The acoustic bass plays "in 2", often alternating between the root and fifth.
RockabillySwing^ RealDrums play in their first variation,
which includes simple toms in the A section and tom 8ths in the B section.
This song is in the key of A and uses pop and dominant chords that change every 2 to 8 beats.

Great voice. So rich and full. I like this song. It's very Country circa 1970's, which is to say the best era, in my opinion. Nice work.

Nicely done - love the groove on this one, and it's a great throwback to 70's era country. Got my toe tapping from the get go, and your vocals work perfectly over the instrumentation.

Thanks for sharing smile

Best I've heard from you, I like the way the vocals build up in the first line of your chorus, reminds me of Buck Owens, very effective. Good singing as usual.

Listening to this makes me want to get up and dance (but I might hurt myself). Catchy and great vocal. Love the rockabilly!

Hi Rob,

I don't know much about Country, but this one seems to be a very classic one to me. It got a real good flowing rhythm, you sing it authentically (which means VERY WELL) and I do like the soloing guitar - well chosen.

You know what? My advice: Forget about her or you'll end up in Heartbreak Hotel... smile

Regards,

Stefan

Rob,
very well made and written.
Your rich voice is Cocky's Joy on damper.
I did feel the solo guitar wasn't quite up to the song's standard.

Cheers

Very melodic, has kind of a school dance vibe, almost too catchy for going down on the heart break road smile Nice chording, enjoyable band and great vocals.

Hello, 'Rob4580'...

Seems to me I haven't heard a post from you in a long while. Regardless, this song, Get Me Back to You, has a convincingly lonesome sound, even as it as swings like a jukebox selection heard in a roadside diner.

All of the Real Track instruments have a clear, clean presence that, with addition of the reverb FX you applied, make the song sound like something that walked through a door out of the past, and into the present. The bass thumps in time like an expectant heart. The cymbal crash that ends the song was theatrical enough to get a round of applause from an imaginary audience showing their appreciation for the bands' musicianship smile.

Your lyrics evoke a time and a place that still lives in our hearts, and the way you sang them would have girls rushing up to the stage to have you blow kisses at them laugh !!!

Enjoyably,

LOREN (a.k.a. 'bluage')
