Its been several months since I've posted a song... Due to some medical issues... But the good Lord is getting me back on track... And I've been busy catching up on all of the creative songwriters... Who make this forum so great!
It may be a bit early but I'd like to share a Christmas song with all of you... I loooove writing Christmas songs. I don't know if I will have time to write one this year... So I thought I would share one from the past the good Lord gave me.
**************** Technical Info: I can't find the details... I made a cursory check... And I'm certain the style & mgu file is on a HD, CD, or USB drive around here... But I haven't found the information... Since I generally make my on styles... I imagine I named the style something like Style???.sty... And dropped it in the same folder with the other files... So please forgive for the lack of technical information.
****************
Anyway I hope you enjoy this early Christmas creation... Even though its got some warts... And thanks for letting me be a part of your forum!
The house is decorated with mistletoe and lights The children are dreaming Christmas dreams Every one is waiting anticipating They're wondering what Santa brings
Christmas today seems to be one big commercial And Santa is a super star no doubt But when Jesus was born they called it Christmas morning He's what Christmas is about

A dying tree is standing in glitter and in gold The presents are piled beneath its leaves Santa Claus is coming bringing more gifts for Good girls and boys Christmas Eve

Jim, I agree your vocal shines on this charming, sincere Christmas song. Good melody and mix as well- certainly not too early to feel some seasonal warmth!
This is a wonderful Christmas song. Nicely written. Nice sentiment.
Warts? I certainly didn't see/hear any!!
Your vocal on this is awesome.
The underlying musical bed works perfectly. A good mix, too.
Really enjoyed this. Glad you are posting again. Merry Christmas!!

Thanks Floyd for your generous comments... I happy you enjoyed it!

Thanks Robert... I'm grateful for your comments & support... And for the listen!
Jim, like Floyd I sure didn't notice any of the "warts" you mentioned! I think you did an excellent job on this....especially the vocal! It's a great Christmas song! Hope you are doing well! Thanks Torrey
What to say? everything is said about your very nice Christmas song. Especially about the vocals. They are very good and strong and to me also a bit lower. Did the doctors did all that to you as well? (just a nasty joke). And also a touch of social criticism in it! Liked it that you put things straight about Christmas...
In your song there was a very nice progression, that gives the song some extra 'dimension'(can't find another word to describe this in English).
So, glad you're back! Not alone for your comments on the songs of others, but for making your music again. Christmas 2019 can't be bad now
This is a really, really beautiful song. Love your vocals - you sound better than ever! I hope your medical issues are now in the past - thank you so much for sharing this genuinely beautiful song. It's a deceptively understated production, I feel - it seems so simple and yet it communicates so well. Well done - and Happy Christmas to you when the day comes!
Christmas songs already - I'm not complaining I found this one delightfully catchy, and it definitely got me in the spirit early. In particular, I thought your singing was outstanding here.
Jim, Nice country holiday feel to this . . . inviting, warm and very strong vocal. Really nice work on this! All my best, Deej
Thanks Deej... I always appreciate your comments & support!

Thanks Torrey... You can hear those warts with headphones ... A bit of distortion... But I'm glad you liked the song... And I appreciate your well-wishes for health!

Thanks Scott... That's really a wonderful compliment... However... With all the talented songwriters here... If we all had the "right agent"... We would be creating many new "standards" !

Thanks James... For your continuing comments & support... Medically... I'm not out of the Ardennes quite yet... But at least I've escaped the artillery shelling... Now if I only stay away from Nurse Pokem... She's making me feel like a pin cushion !

Wow, what a great Christmas song. Really soothing. Can't find anything wrong, other than I did hear the distortion that you referred to, but I thought it was just me!! Love it!!
Not much to add. This is a lovely, well written and obviously heartfelt song. You vocal is standout!
Excellent...

I'm sorry to hear that Life has been throwing a few curve balls your way. It's good that you're getting back on top of things.
I was really pleased to discover this thread as I searched through Users Showcase this morning in an attempt to locate all that I've missed over the last couple of weeks.
What a wonderfully engaging listen. You've done a terrific job writing, arranging, performing and producing this. The end result that I'm hearing through my headphones right now is a well-balanced, really fine aural journey. I have no idea what you mean by 'warts'. I cannot hear anything that would fit that category. Your singing, your choice of instruments and you mix are all excellent.
All the best for a fine Christmas and a happy 2020, Noel

If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
