This recording has a long history...in 1993 the vocals were recorded and mixed exactly like they are on this recording...so in 2018 I took those tracks and paired them with a BiaB bluegrass style (though the song was originally not bluegrass)...I thought it was a good marriage of old and new...so from 1993 the vocals and lead guitar came and from 2018 the style was changed and added from BiaB...thanks for listening...Dan

Skilful integration of old and new. I listened to the track before I read the notes so I didn't realise it was a mix-n-match of styles until after the event. Also like the way you have blended old and new lyrics. Quite a few people doing that these days but the results are not always as good as what you've presented here. Great job.

The guitar intrudes on the vocal at 0.22 and in a few other spots - a little EQ carving might make that a little less invasive.
Nice bluegrass backing.
Is the vocal recorded hot? It seems to hit the roof a couple of times.

Really nicely done - it sounds really considering the 'patchwork' used to make everything come together, so to speak. It flows really well, especially considering that.

Thanks for sharing smile

That was nicely done and the mix of old and new sounds good.

Very good work.

Love the harmonies. Tuneful, nice instrumentation as well.

The vocals seemed a bit back in the mix compared to the brightness of the strummed instruments, but there's only so much you can do with what you've got.

I enjoyed it, thanks for posting!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?
