This is a song written and sung by my friend Kerry Kennington aka Carlos Machiste of Austin's KOKE-FM fame.
I played the fiddle parts and keyboard played Trumpets (NI Session Horns Pro) Chad Ware of Rick Trevino and Janie Fricke fame played the Electric Guitar verse fills and solo.
Biab 2019 Style used: Andele Amplitude Tex-Mex Polka All tracks are Real Tracks Exported to DAW parts: Drums, Bass, Accordion, Electric Rhythm Guitar
DAW used: Mixbus 5 FX Used: Drums-Mighty Mite compressor in channel Reverb on most tracks: Overloud Breverb on stereo bus Mastered with Ozone 8 Bossa preset
Very nicely done... You & Kerry & Chad have created a catchy tune... Hopefully others are not scared away from your method of submission... Most users here use Windows instead of Linux... And I imagine they might be more than cautious than to download a submission from Dropbox... That presented a message like I received... ".mp3 files are supported but something went wrong."... None of my Mp3 players would play you tune but I finally got it to play in Audacity... And Audacity indicated it had a lot of clips... Perhaps you should normalize it to a -1...
Great tune, vocal and production. I had no problem hearing it with dropbox, but I did turn the volume down a bit. I particularly was interested in the horns since I have that package. It was pretty good. Of course, nothing replaces the real thing, but you did a fine job with it.

Sounded good here too, and it opened and played in safari on my iPad.
Nice tracks!

The bright and dynamic introduction got this off to an immediate great start.
Well handled vocals, and the instrumental fills slotted in perfectly. The guitar break is extremely well done, and overall there's so much to like about this production.

Nice work - loved the accordion in this, and as others have mentioned the mix is top notch. It all flows effortlessly, and it sounds so crisp and professional.
You should be proud of this one. Thanks for sharing!
Can you not play it in your browser on Dropbox? I don't hear or see any clipping at all on anything I've played it on.
Rick
I apologize Rick... I hope I did not offend you... And I'm happy others are listening to your wonderful production... However... When I experienced the following I was concerned...
1st - Your song was 2 days old & without a comment (Usually that doesn't happen)... 2nd - I've never had a problem streaming a Dropbox song...
3rd - Then I saw the error message (Very Unusual)... 4th - When it opened in Audacity I saw the following (Unusual sight but no clipping heard)...
Anyway "Leaving San Antonio" is a great song... And I'll be looking forward to more of your submissions!
It's a cool Tex Mex feel - I reckon it'd be very Ry Cooder, (Chicken Skin Music era ), if it was slower. The vocals & horns are pretty hot playing it as a streamer. To check things I downloaded the file & opened it in Reaper - it clips very, very frequently. It runs particularly hot in the intro and even after frequently hits + while sitting at no level increase on the track and the master bus. It fares a little better when converted to .wav and opened in Wave-repair but it looks like it was compressed and then normalized or brick wall limited.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
