Nah, It's probably that they're so busy frantically trying to patch holes and test for the 2020 release, so they haven't even a moment to spare coming by the forums right now...

We discussed BB a while and I got curious. When I looked I discovered that it was the answer to my situation in so many ways. The funny thing was that so many of the other folks in the Sonar forums and the Showcase were adamantly against BB for a variety of reasons that made absolutely no sense.

Yeah the old MC forum was one of the friendliest and best places to hang out. I learned so much from those guys on that site.

Edit: and now, there are at least several folks here who heard my music, thought it was done with professional live musicians, and became believers, when they too found out about the benefits of using BB for their tunes.

Funny thing is am pretty sure I introduced him to Band in a Box. I remember when he first setup his login in here after a conversation we had on the old hidden forum we had back then. We had some cool stuff stored on that old web forum. It was abandoned, and about three years ago I found it and it was still there.

I remember when you started posting regularly at the MC forum you were a solid contributor. Actually I also remember when Beagle came in there.

I used to make drum tracks the hard way usually with loops since besides MC my earlier software was Acid Pro 1 through 3. I remember when you came here your production level really took off it was a great move.

Time sure has flown. My first recording studio was a clarion 4 track cassette unit. Then I bought cakewalk on floppy disk somewhere around the early 1995 it wasn’t till I bought MC 1 that I had digital audio capability. To me helping people on the MC forum was therapy to me. Beagle was one of the first guys I helped and he ended up being one of the guys who became the most helpful on the forum.

I am also stunned how small a footprint a studio can be today. Other than my guitars and amps the actual studio is rather small.

I saw some complaints about a subscription model. Isn’t that what most of the forumites here do anyways, buying every version every year?

Maybe they are actually going to fix the Generate Loops feature in RealBand. They have admitted it's broken. I've been asking for the fix since July.

exactly what I was thinking Scott. If ever a product made sense as a subscription, it would have to be BIAB. Plus we wouldn't have to wait for the big yearly reveal since new real tracks and main program enhancements would flow to us automatically as they come available.

At least with BIAB there is a compelling reason to buy every year in order to get the new content. Other programs with a subscription model aren't quite so clear cut about what you're getting for the money besides the right to keep using the product.

Having said that, I would never trade in a lifetime paid license for an annually "rented" license. And I guess that's what makes subscriptions so universally despised.

That’s the weird thing about licenses, they are really only rental agreements. You never actually own the license

You guys are too funny. I've watched forums fall to fb pressure for years including a large one that I moderated. We love music, photography,
mountain biking, hiking, dogs and nature and more. And we keep up with all that including family and friends via facebook. With curated
privacy settings and selective "unfollowing" smile we see and read what we are interested in.

A while back I read that many businesses were reticent to install phones
when they became readily available because of a fear that no work would take place. Time passes and things change.

I'm 74 and you are welcome to my yard...which is actually a forest!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
