Try? I think you nailed it! Excellent guitar chops and tone here. Good style choice and mix also.

Top notch song. Really excellent guitar work - tight yet expressive. Nice mixing too.

Added: I'm no great singer, but if you have any interest in a complete stranger's amateur take on what a vocal might sound like with it, please let me know. I'm new to the forum, so if I'm out of bounds - feel free to put me in my place --

Fabulous, Eric.
Only my opinion, but the "if only I could sing" mindset might be preventing you from full expression and having some well deserved fun along the way. You clearly have high standards and have achieved high guitar skill level. Not to pick at it, but the best voice teachers on line say, "Anyone can sing." (I might be the sole exception; but I'm not going to let that stop me from trying.)

Hi Eric,

You don't need vocals on this in my opinion, your guitar work carries the song no problem.

As always I love your tone and sense of melody, well done.

And I would reply, "If only I could play guitar that well..." Your guitar melody and tone meshes well with the tracks.

Nice work - the playing is fantastic as always, and the instrumentation choice for the backing tracks is right on point. It flows effortless too.

Thanks for sharing smile

As always, your guitar work sounds great. As Mario said, you nailed it! And btw, not being a great singer has sure hindered Carlos Santana's career! smile

Great job on this!

Nice playing, reminded me a little of David Lindley when he's not playing slide. Good work, keep it up!

Eric, I think this one is my favorite of all of your songs you have posted! I really like the melancholy feel of the melody in this! The chord progression in here is great! Very nice job!
