Well it ain't free but for $5 hard to pass on. Palette – Primary Colors requires the full version of Kontakt 5.6.8 or above. Which I happen to have. But I may have mentioned I spent my budget and only pick up stuff with is free until 2020. But I could make a slight exception if someone could give this product an endorsement.

I'm in the same boat. But the demos sounded so good I just blew my last $5! Thankfully the other 4 were free. All DLed but probably will not be installed for a few days.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

The $5 is only a suggestion. You can change it to 0 and download and enjoy! I did BUT it required another download of a file manager called Pulse and I declined to run that unknown possible adware/malware laden manager.
Don't let that stop you. More than a few of us have downloaded and installed it. No one dead yet, at least none have reported dead, LOL
I've scanned with multiple AV and malware tools and even used a net tool to watch its connections and and monitor its download of the said "free" lib.
It's no more obnoxious/dangerous than Native Access for NI, eLicenser Control for Steinberg, ToonTrack Product Manager for the "eZ this and that" line of stuff, Sonokenetic Manager, that much hated, BY ME, stupid Command Center for Sonar, and dozens of others.
As a matter of fact after you've used "Pulse' to downloaded and install the Palette Primary Colors folder lib (~1.24 GB), suggest same place you put/install other Kontakt libs so that Kontakt can find it. Then just make a few copies of that folder (safety copies) zip/RAR it up, keep copies in multiple locations with some being off the PC altogether - then you can uninstall Pulse, it is not needed again, unless you buy other stuff from Red room Audio.

Good info Larry, like you I tend to do multiple scans of software, what tool do you use to do the above?
Windows 10 (64bit) M-Audio Fast Track Pro, Band in a Box 2024, Cubase 13, Cakewalk and far too many VST plugins that I probably don't need or will ever use
Just chiming in here about AV scanning. I often use the site virustotal.com, which aggregates many popular scanning engines in one place. The only downside is that if the file is large, you have to use an FTP client such as Cyberduck (which is free) to upload files over a certain size. It's used by many large security sites such as the Infosec Institute as part of their standard toolset when analyzing software for malware detection signatures.
One word of warning - you may get a false positive in some cases, which happened to me with Winlive Synth Driver, but it was due to the Artificial Intelligence logic in one of the engines which tries to guess at undetected malware, and after contacting my AV vendor, they got confirmed it was clean and they updated their definitions accordingly.

Trend Micro Internet Security did not trigger any warnings for me. I have installed all of them and tested them in Kontakt 6. All work fine.
Also, on one of the pages (the Fluffy Audio page, where you get Aurorror), there are three additional free instruments you can download. The Simple Flute sounded pretty decent.

I wouldn't think they would suggest sites that are dodgy ?
My thoughts exactly.
Agreed. However sometimes a site will not be buggy when suggested but became infected after. Experience talking here as my wife and kid got infected from sites they have used many many times with no problems.

What only one instrument - violin! and one articulation - sustain! This is a small teaser indeed. It sounds pretty nice but you don't get to hear much with the free version. I went to a lot of effort to download this thing... I guess you get what you pay for.

Let me go check the price of the full package.
$199 - I sent support a email. I am sure it said this would have more than I am hearing.

How is this for service:
Hi Dan,
Thanks for getting in touch! Primary Colors does indeed include more: specifically, long notes and short notes for strings, brass, and woodwinds. Regarding activating these other sounds, one thing to note is that clicking on the name of the articulation selects it so you can edit parameters like how to trigger it and the attack and release, but it doesn't activate it for playback. By default, all those articulations are activated by keyswitches C6 - F6, though you can click on their name to change how they are activated.
What is the typical price one pays for the full version of Kontakt?
I picked up Kontakt 5 a while back to be able to take advantage of the sweet freebies which come along and require the full version. I was able to use a free versions library which played in the Player to get the crossover discount. I suspect I paid not more than 149$. Since that is where my pain threshold for this type of stuff is.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
