Like a hardware arranger : Play style, change gradually MIDI tracks (the bass line, riff, drums ...) while continuing to listen to the Style
MarioD just informed me that it is not possible at the moment : "...massichat, if I read you right you want to audition a single track while listening to the rest of the style. You can not do that in BiaB. You have to stop BiaB, right click on the instrument you want to either change and/or change the style, pick your instrument and style, press OK and listen to see if it is what you want..."
I hope we can do that one day since it allows to quickly change the arrangement of a single MIDI track and get an idea without having to stop the playback as we currently can do with the Global Style (Style Picker)
I read it of course as soon as you wrote it, the problem is that this function neither allows to play (preview) a special midi track nor to continue the playback while changing midi track for a specific instrument.
I imagine that this might be technically difficult, but not impossible. Stranger things have been able to be delivered, so I am supporting this request.
+1

Realy ? It's a basic function in all DAWs I know: the IMPORTANCE of not stopping the PLAYBACK during the maximum of possible changes: phrase, plugin, preset, tempo, pitch, editing piano roll/mixer/arrangement ...) But it's true that BiaB does not work like DAW, moreover it's one of its strengths. & in BiaB, we can change the instrument "Select MIDI instrument (patch)", which seems to me (changing the instrument) technically more difficult than changing the track (the MIDI phrase)

I wonder why you only quoted part of my sentence and not the entire sentence? The fragment you quoted conveyed the feeling that it couldn't be achieved. That's actually not what I had suggested at all, and I had supported the request.

I know that the continuation of what you said was that it is possible and that is great. Sorry if I made you think that I disapprove what you say but it is not that, I rediscover BiaB in these last months and what you say about the difficulty of implementing this functionality just surprised me, that's why I only quoted this sentence.
Personally I have already circumvented this impossibility by using two PCs with two synchronized BiaB instances, but I imagine that not everyone has the patience to do that, we can do simpler.
Have a good day and thank you for supporting this request
I also should congratulate you for the video you delivered that exemplifies your suggestion. It very realistically identifies the intended requirement. Well done.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
