I have a quick question for all of you. When it comes to truth in advertising, I don't have to worry too much. With what I do, I have guidance from my clients and ultimately they ok the lyrics. No worries there for me.

That being said, I don't know how things work with the internet. There is a product I really like, that I have used in before. I wasn't planning on getting it right now but I got an email saying it is over half off..."Now only $10/mo." Cool! Nope. It was NOT cool!

I clicked on the link and it's $10 a month when averaged out for the year, which is billed annually ($120). To be fair, they do offer the option to go monthly (on their web page not the email) for a mere $90 a month. Really? mad

(EDIT) As pointed out, I didn't post my question. Lol! Opps! Is this the sort of thing you tackle with a company?

There's one side of me that says, if it's wrong, do something about it. All it takes is enough good people that do nothing....but maybe I'm not that good person. lol

The other side of me says "seriously? It's not much money. Not worth dealing with."

So my take away thus far has been...

1st-I really dislike this form of marketing. It makes me not want to do business with the company at all. Had they, at a minimum, gave indication of that in their email...maybe. I still think it's very misleading. Especially since they actually have a monthly option and it's 900% higher! Yes, percentages are more dramatic; but also puts things in perspective.

2nd-This TOTALLY shows why I love PG Music. There is no better company out there when it comes to understanding and going beyond for their customers!

Not much of a question here, Hear (funny pun)

Looks life has given you a melon but you were able to turn it into a positive moment to reflect and send some love and praise out to our PG Music family. Good recovery my friend. wink

Truth in Advertising..... isn't that an oxymoron? Kinda like Military Intelligence?

As adults we should have learned by now that everyone lies to us. It's our job to filter the BS out and figure out the angle behind something "they" are trying to sell us on whether its a company or a party or an individual.

Lemons reduce your risk of heart disease, anemia, kidney stones, digestive issues, and cancer. That being said, I don't see people talking about how lemons give you life. grin

You are correct though. I do try to look at the bright side in life. I think it mostly stems from appreciation. Thanks for noticing that. It doesn't surprise me you would. smile

Now, I've got a question to post. grin

Preach brother Herb! I totally understand selling. I actually don't mind that. I think goods and services can be sold without being misleading though. There are millions of products and services that do that. It just perplexes me when a company with a good product decides to be unlawful about it. Click bait and switch doesn't fly with me. The adult in me understands it. The child in me wants to kick 'em in the shins. shocked

Man, that's sorry business practice HTL. I'd have to email and ask if it was a typo? wink Jerks.

If misery loves company, I just got ripped off on some replacement headphone pads. Being the genius I am, I had taken for granted they'd fit from the description and removed the old ones before opening the package. Which of course will not go back on. So now I'm headphone-less, interface-less cause the new power supply won't be here til the 3rd even though I bought it expecting it by the 30th. Then last night my tablet headphones decided they'd start cutting out unless I hold the cord perfectly still at just the right angle and don't turn my head. All the replacements arrive on the 3rd. smile

I can't wait to get my new biab. I'm gonna order it tomorrow. And thank God for football since I can't record at all and can only listen to music and watch vids on my tablet while remaining motionless and looking straight ahead with my arm in the air. grin Life is good.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
