Hello captain,

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I am really glad you like this tune and the vocalist.
Your tips for the vocal EQ can be very helpful.
I am very encouraged by your kind words.

Best regards.

Shigeki, your work is always excellent and once again you have shown us all arranging, performance and mixing that is second to none! Thanks, Torrey

You have created a lovely piece of music.

Fabulous melody, arrangement, and production.

I prefer the RB version: The vocal comes through clearer to my middle-aged ears.

Welcome back!

Both versions are lovely.

We always enjoy hearing your live / BiaB posts.

And as always it's difficult if not impossible to
choose one over another.

Both versions are lush, sophisticated and wonderfully room filling.

Great productions! Fine arrangement, strings and vocal.

Wonderful treatment of a very strong and wide melody. Your singer handles those large intervals well. I'm not a mix-expert. I'll just say that both versions had their strengths. There are too many factors to say that "live" is always better. I don't think that's true at all. But in orchestral pieces played by talented and accomplished musicians, there is very likely a greater sense of "oneness" that goes beyond the math and structure of music when players are in the same room under the same baton. That likely is the case between these two versions.

Anyway, lovely song and arrangement.

A lovely piece of composition, as was to be expected. Your use of strings and strings arrangements is just a step above anything I've heard around here.

Certainly finding a good VST sound source for solo violin is very important but very difficult.
I tried various instruments, but this time I settled on EastWest one.

And I am very happy you always enjoy hearing my live / BiaB posts.
The music circle to which I belong holds a recording session twice a year to maintain our ability to write scores.
So, I think that I will be able to post my live / BiaB posts two or three times a year.

Hi Shigeki Adachi,

I'm a little bit late in getting to this wonderful creation.

What a beautiful sound and a truly outstanding arrangement of a superb melody. At the moment I'm listening to the Yamaha teachers' version. Natsuki Yoshikawa's singing is superb. She has done your beautiful music justice.

Now I'm listening to the Realtracks versions. Wow... this is just as wonderful. I don't know which one I prefer, to be honest. I'd have to toss a coin to choose.

You are, honestly, an incredibly talented composer and arranger. I am always impressed with you music creations.

Thank you for brightening my day!

All the best,
Noel

Dear Noel,

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
And many thanks for listening to the both version.
I am really glad you like this tune and Natsuki's vocal.
The live version and the RealTracks version are very similar for the following reasons.
Only piano, guitar, bass and drums were performed live.
All other parts are the same sound source(MIDI) I programmed.
And I wrote the score of the live band parts by copying the sounds of RealTracks.
I am always very encouraged by your kind words.

Sincerely,

Shigeki Adachi

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
