Hello you all! Remember me? I posted several songs about 3 years ago. So what happened? Well, for those who don't remember', I restarted to compose when my wife passed away. Feeling the lack of guitar skills I went to the music academy for three years, specialising in my favourite,Gilmour, blues guitar style. Now I've put an album online, "over later en toen" (about later and then) All songs are BIAB produced, with voice and (some) guitar of my own. The album contains 14 songs, one song is weekly added to my site www.fredplaysfred.beWe are now at song #4. Also online at SoundCloud... https://soundcloud.com/fred-marien/sets/over-later-en-toen-het-album-1Half of the songs are in Dutch language, half in English. They represent a biography of 45 years of making music. Hope you like the album... Every comment will be much appreciated, every share even more

Nice chord progression. Gently flowing. I like the guitar solo (it fits well and is not overly intrusive). Great mix.
My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile

Nice work on this - the guitar work is superb, and paired with the instrumentation it flows gorgeously. The musical training definitely paid off here. Top notch work on the mix too. Thanks for sharing
Cheers, Deryk

Nice folky pop rock songs with beautiful melancholy chording. I really enjoyed your guitar playing, very melodic and skillful, nice effects and mixing also!

Hi Fred,
"Over Later En Toen" at the moment as I type. Wow! This is such a warm, inviting and very satisfying sound.
You've done a great job putting this together. I love the vocals, they are very engaging and sit so comfortably in the mix. It's easy to hear that you know what you're doing when it comes to writing, arranging, performing and producing... wonderful music!
I don't know a word of Dutch but I'm sitting here humming along with the chorus.
I wish success with your album.
Noel

I might have said this before, this has a Rodger Whittaker feel to it, and I enjoyed it, nice guitar work also.
Thanks

Fred, I just have to say that to my taste your stuff is by far the best I've heard here. The compositions, the lyrics, the mixes, the vocal and guitar skills...it's just so good. So good.

Fred, right now I'm hearing over later en toen, and I can hear where I'll be spending the next hour or so. The guitar and your voice sound great. Your guitar is so expressive. Love the Dutch language.
Ok, I type slow --or I stop to listen too long. Now I'm on A lot of Love. Love the harmony, and again your guitar is the perfect addition.
Enough said. Got more to hear. I wasn't here 3 years ago, so I got a lot to catch up on.

Very gentle, pleasant and the guitar, (in the one the links goes straight to), has a lovely tone and style.

Fred,
Sounds like you have quite the album there—congratulations, it’s no easy feat. I sampled a few of the English tunes and liked what I heard, particularly “A Lot of Love”. Will have to find some more time to give it a deeper listen. Good luck with it!
All my best,
Deej
