Using BIAB as the backbone, we added 1 guitar and couple of vocals. Enjoy CLiff OK here are the lyrics

Southern Rock, using Classic Rock as the style and one bad a-- president. HA I'm still debating my run.

I'm gonna run a campaign for president, I'm gonna take control of the government
My administration won't be giving it away
easy street is over on my very first day
If you want to get money, You'd better get a job
Cause I'll be chopping off hands from politicians that rob

Nothings gonna be the way that it was
Network news is really gonna buzz
Hard times are coming for those that want to go
and desecrate the flag of the country we know.
People are gonna be proud they sent
me to Washington as President

Super guitar instrumental using THU amp sim

well on my 4th or 5th term and all the judges picked
The Supreme Court will walk with a mighty big stick
Radical change is coming your way
Treat your neighbor nice, and watch what you say!!!
Kings of nations will bow like they are bent
When they come to this American President

Repeat first verse

The intro lead guitar, (well all the lead sections - not the lick spots), is way too loud.
The vocals are cool but feel odd on the side - it makes it hard to focus on the words with so much going on.
I reckon a trad stereo image would help - as when the lead drops away the lyrics are easier to grab.

Cheers

Hello Cliff,

You had the shortest intro for your song I ever saw!
Nothing about the style, the used instruments or (most important) the lyrics.
The melody is a nice rock and roll, but I hardly heard the words. So I still don't know if you love this president or not. I have heard some words and the way I interpreted them I think it's the latter. And I hope I'm not wrong on that ;-)
So, please show me the lyrics...

I think your singing needs to be more upfront. In this kind of music you almost have shout your words. In any case don't give a hummble impression with the vocals. They have to sound more brutal (as we in the Netherlands would say).
But the song itselve has a good vibe and will undoubtedly make people swirl through the dancehall!

Hans

Good work, Clifton. Unlike bluegrass, traditional folk, and Christian, the Southern Rock style has not really been adapted to the "back to core values" movement. Yet. Maybe you'll be the one. Some are going to complain that title is click bait, in today's news environment.

Politicians are easy pickings for protest songs.....

Nice rocker.

Don't know if I'd vote for you or not though......

Very good basic rock'n'roll tune with good tight band and sharp sound. Nice lead vocal and backing vocals. I'm quite sure this president would be much better than many current presidents in the world smile

Hi Cliff,

Wow!

This is stepping outside of what I usually hear when I click on your links. I love it.

I'm sitting here, both feet tapping up and down and I'm typing in time to the music! What a great song, excellent write, outstanding arrangement and super production. You've pulled out all stop with this one.

It's thumbs up from me!

Regards,
Noel

Cliff,

Y'all got an excellent Southern Rock sound on this. A good cohesive sound. (the vocal does seem to lean left a bit - even if the lyric doesn't smile )

Well done. Good rocker.

Hi Cliff,

Thanks for including the lyrics. Had no idea it was you running for president.
Better than what you face right now ;-)
But very funny lyrics. Had no idea this was what you sang about...

Fun listen. A bit different from others I have heard of yours... That is probably campaign itch talking. Southern Rock it is! Good recording & mix.
P.S. You still have 11 month to make that choice. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.
