Ain't No Stopping Me

This is way out of my comfort zone for sure! If the world were flat I'd have one foot hanging over the edge; that is how far from my comfort zone I am.

I'm not sure this is even music so please don't judge my musical abilities based on this EDM. At least I think it is EDM; I'm too old to know if it is or isn't!

Lyrics:
Ain't no stopping my - many time
Ain't ain't etc - many times
Ain't no stopping - many times

BiaB style = Sound of Silver - House

Bass = Kontake - mini broken bass
Piano = Ultra Analog VA3 - preset - Plastic POP-digital Plastic
Guitar = Ultra Analog String Studio VS-5 -preset - Romantic Nylon - Dreamy Pad
Drums = different drums from different Steven Slate SSD-5
Strings = Ultra Analog VA3 - preset -Space Sweep

Via my keyboard controller:
Vocal = Kontakt - preset - Vox - no stopping
Effect = VacuumPro - preset - Missle

I did have fun with this and I was surprised what I could do with BiaB. I have never done or even heard anything like this in the showcase.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

An interesting listen and agree that this is somewhat unique to the forum.
A well constructed piece and certainly imaginative.

Nicely done.

Well, it was an unexpected listen as well. I've heard plenty similar in my indie listening (and have even done a few myself with loops). This sounds great, first off. The mix is stellar, to my ears. I do think your next experiment in the genre should explore breaks...every 16 bars or so?...with a major one midway. I don't know the "rule", but that sounds right to me. As it is, still a very enjoyable experience that had me moving in the chair. No stopping you indeed.

Wow - nicely done, and when you said you stepped out your comfort range you weren't kidding. Definitely unique for you, but it panned out nicely. Certainly a change of pace for the forums and yourself, but it flows nicely and I thought the mix sounded superb.

Thanks for sharing!

This is really good, Mario! It's good to get out our comfort zone from time to time. It opens up new lanes of creativity. I think that is very important!

I move around from daw to daw, and instrument to instrument to keep creative juices flowing. And every now and then, I will jump genres, just to stay alive, creatively.

Great job on this one! All your music has an element of tv or film quality. I can hear this in a movie or tv show.

Thanx Peter. I think that "somewhat unique to the forum" is the understatement of the year!

Thanx Tangmo, it was surprising to me that someone here actually has experience in this genre. With that being said I greatly appreciate your constructive criticism. I need all the help I can get on songs like this as it is not my bag or strong suit.

Thanx. I'll bet that you could do something like this if you really wanted to it. BiaB did most of the work for me!

Steve, what TV show would you use this in? Most Wanted or Cops?

Thanx for listening and the very nice comments. I stick with one DAW as for me to switch between DAWs does not promote creativity. It promotes high blood pressure!

If PGMusic is playing this loudly over the company intercom it would be to rid the building of spiders and rodents grin

Hey Mario.
Seems like you anf FJ are drinking some happy potion lately. I need some of that! Share!!!

Unusual and brave experiment. Very different from what I have heard from you. Kudos to you for trying stuff from different angles!

P.S. Funny thing is, I went to gym today and was doing the treadmill thing and your tune helped me to maintain the pace... Maybe you should rent this out to gyms across the nation? smile Thank you for sharing!

Well, that was a fun listen!

Between you and floydjane, 2020 just might be the breakout year for BiaB users to start working in unexpected genres! laugh

OH NO! THE EDM GUYS HAVE INVADED THE FORUM!!!!

HAHAHAHA!

Very infectious.

Like Tangmo, I thought some breaks (or DROPS as us kids like to refer to them smile ) would be a good addition.

Well done. Careful of that edge....Once you fall over, there may be no coming back smile wink

Floyd, don't worry. After I finished this one I ran as fast I could from that edge!

Thanx for listening.

An Olde Timer such as yourself remembered all the lyrics, well done.

The piece was an interesting listen really well done. Not at all what I would have thought. Thanks you.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
