I loved this style the minuet I heard it. (bonus pack 2020)
I just had to write something for it.

The song is a typical break up song. The main character is so sad
he wants to die. I added a sax to help with the mood.

Only The Good Die Young

Oh my baby don't walk out me I sure don't want no sympathy.
I gave you money and I brought wine I guess there'll no more lying

My sunny skies have turned to grey I never thought things would go this way.
I never knew that you wanted to leave.
I guess only the good die young.

Bridge

My sunny skies have turned to grey I never thought things would go this way.
I never knew that you wanted to leave.
I guess only the good die young.

I've been grieving so many days I just want to die and easy my pain.
I miss you honey and your sweet smile I guess only the good die young.

My sunny skies have turned to grey I never thought things would go this way.
I never knew that you wanted to leave.
I guess only the good die young.

Whoa, great job bringing out some misery there, Rob. Man, do I feel sorry for the guy, but you painted a beautiful picture of his woe. That far-away sax seems to speak for his soul.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Refreshingly different for you and, I think, one of your best. You sang with a lot of emotion. Reminds me a bit of St. James Infirmary, just a bit. Great job!!

This one reminded me of Robert Gordon in his sad sack moments. I like everything except the sax solo - I had a hankering for a baritone guitar part.
This is a good song - really well done all all counts.

Cheers

Your voice is made for sad stories. The style and especially the mmms support the lead vocal and lyrics very well. Grief expressed in a very touching way.

I think that it is your best to date! I also thought of St James Infirmary.

Although it didn't distract from the song I would have preferred a more sad blues instrumental part in play of the sax. Either a wailing sax or guitar would be better, but again that is only me and others may disagree.

Regardless this is excellent - loved it.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Rob, your vocals in this superb track reminded me so much of Elves. It just yelled the king at me as soon as you started singing. Something like this would be simply amazing for a James Bond soundtrack. REALLY enjoyed this one

Excellent.

A solid write. An excellent vocal. The BAND is just right (the piano is really cool).

Dirge-like.

Hi Ray. Thank you for your comment.
I agree with you the baritone would have been better.

Gonna be hard to motivate my self to move this evening. smile At least I can be thankful I'm not this guy (even if only temporarily). The blues are thick in this one.
