Note: A collaborator has been found on this song. Thank you.

Hello,

Here are some lyrics if anyone wants to use them. I imagine this as a Reggae song. Feel free to change or add lyrics (especially the bridge). 50-50 split on copyright. Thanks for any help. If not, thanks for viewing lyrics.

I'm going to jump off the cliffs of Negril
If the fall don't kill me, the drowning will
I'm going to wash up on some distant shore
And I won't have to think of you no more

That's how much I love you
That's how much I love you, baby
That's how much I love you
I love you, oh yeah

I'm going to move myself to Miami Beach
Maybe there I'll be out of reach
But your memory travels like a plane
Finds me anywhere, makes me insane

That's how much I love you
That's how much I love you, baby
That's how much I love you
I love you, oh yeah

(Bridge)
There is nothing more powerful than love
There is nothing more powerful than love

I'm going to lay myself down on the track
Until that Kingtown train come roaring back
I'll just lay here until that day
When that locomotive take me away

That's how much I love you
That's how much I love you, baby
That's how much I love you
I love you, oh yeah

That's how much I love you
That's how much I love you, baby
That's how much I love you
I love you, oh yeah

Dear Mr. Tully...

I would like to compose music for your passionate (and somewhat humorous, perhaps?) lyrics.

I hope to have something for you to listen to soon, this coming week for sure.

Thank you for offering a collaboration to us forum users!

Sincerely,

LOREN (a.k.a. 'bluage')

Oh, great! I responded to your message before reading your post. Yes, have at it. Change lyrics and interpret them any way you'd like. You have complete creative control over it from here on out.

You know what would be a really cool thing to do?

Well since you asked, I'll tell you.

Write some good lyrics and post them up like you did, BUT...

Instead of asking for one collaborator.... make it open source. Kind of like a talent show. Everyone who wants can grab them , write the song they hear in their head, and post the song back in that SAME THREAD so as not to clog the timeline with a dozen threads of the same song.

We did that very thing several years ago on the old Cakewalk forum. One guy posted the words and I think it was close to a dozen folks grabbed the lyrics and wrote their version of the song. There was literally 12 different versions of the song. None of them were even close to sounding alike and each was very cool in their uniqueness, and variety.

This was my version of that song. https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11962059 I did however rewrite some of the words and got Robby to sing it with me. Him in his studio and me in mine. The fiddle on this is the New England fiddle champion of many years, Scotty.

The same thing was done here a couple of years ago. I believe it was Joanne's lyrics and IIRC she even had a version.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
