Hi there, this is the updated version of the original. Before I had an attempt to recreate a muted trumpet but don't think it worked too well, so I decided to just add a regular good 'ol trumpet.

Backtrack is cool . Melody is cool as well. Not sure if it was my headphone but I found the trumpet pretty bright. Maybe eq’d a bit.

Hi Scott, thanks for listening. No it wasn't your headphones, it is kind of bright. I was trying to emulate a muted trumpet and resulted in what you or everybody else hears. Like I said, no too please with how it sounds, I may end up changing it unless somebody suggests a different approach.

Thanks

Mike B.

Smooth and relaxing.

I somehow agree with Scott that the trumpet sits too far out front and I'm not sure how well the mute effect is working. It may be a little harsh?

The level of the electric piano blends better with the song IMHO.

The song has a great feel to it though.

Cool tune. I like the groove but like others said, you might want to rethink or rework the muted trumpet. It's out of character with everything else.

Hi Mike ...

A really cool song ... my style for sure. But I do agree with the others about the brightness of the muted trumpet. But that EP is fantastic ... loved it a bunch!!!Looking forward to your repost! Wishing you the very best ...

We keep saying this but you are a pro at selecting RT's
and then mixing them to sound like a bunch of musicians
that have been playing together for years.

The trumpet is great and the electric piano is a nice touch.

Enjoyed it!

Like the update, Mike. Removing the mute was a good idea. The trumpet is much louder than the electric piano solos, but the whole piece has a nice groove. Good choice on the electric bass, too. I know others have used Melodyne to change some of the solo notes, but I have no experience.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
