TM,
A fun rocker. Well penned. Good BAND.
Love the yacht/Montauk/dock grouping.
In fact this whole verse is nice:
"Got a yacht in Montauk, sits in the dock, you know I never gave it a whirl, Carly wrote that song about me, ya know she's a real sweet girl, Have a lotta fun with my cars and my guns, bought em all on a whim, American Picker wants to film my stuff, I won't ever let them in"
The vocal is fairly dry for the style. More reverb and some delay would get it into the mix a bit more.
Enjoyed the listen.

Thanks, Floyd, I made the changes you suggested, hope I didn't overdo it. I've been putting reverb on the master buss for simplicity's sake, is that a mistake? The first mix of this didn't have a lot of reverb because I was guessing the Stones did not use a lot on their stuff. I'll have to go back and listen, been decades since I listened to them. Anyway, thanks, Floyd, for the help with this one. : )

Hey TM ...
A nice little rocker!
I like the many internal rhymes in the lyric. That's real cool in my book! Great lyric. The overall vibe of the song, further enhanced by the sax lead, gave me somewhat of a Huey Lewis thought. I do agree with Floyd about adding a bit more reverb on the vocal.
But yeah ... super cool tune! Loved it! Wishing you the best. Be safe ...
Alan

The vocal is dry but be careful as there're some essing & plosive hot spots that reverb will accentuate. If you exported the BIAB track direct from the prog WITH the default reverb on them you'll usually need to add some to the vocal as well to sit it in. A touch on the stereo bus helps the glue but would emphasize the lack on vocals. Fun song.

This is hilarious, the satirical lyrics and your "twisted" vocals create an enjoyable combination of rocking joy. I can't read is there a lyrical reference to Rolling Stones, but the band surely sounds like a part of the story and it makes me smile to think about seeing Mick Jagger to sing that chorus Janne

A little reverb on the master bus can help glue things together (but don't over-do it). But it won't address the need for what is required for the vocal to "sit in the mix" - it needs to be reverb and delay applied to the vocal itself (and, again... don't over-do that..it doesn't need to be a lot). I did enjoy listening to the song again...

Good fun! A sharp write ( a few cultural references this Canuk didn`t quite get ) with those excellent rhymes Floyd mentioned. Very Rolling Stones as you say and the vocal sounds ok to me...its the kind of song I wouldn`t attempt, but there are some good tips above on the processing.

Good old rock n roll with a little humor stuck in. WOW this is so good, kinda like ZZtop and Dylan sings a song written by Weird Al.
Excellent job on this one.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
