Just a quick and dirty song for these trying times. Hopefully this comedic song will bring some smiles.

BiaB style = Jazz at T=60 - Slow Jazz

All tracks are from the style except the lead guitar track, that was me. I am also warbling.

Cabin Fever

Here I am sitting, here in this house
No place to go, can’t go out
Restaurants are closed, Bars are too
What’s a thirsty man to do

I wonder what, other couples do with their time
Will they make love, or will only one survive,
9 months from now there’ll be babies a lot
Common names will be Charmen and Scott

Got cable TV, Netflix and Prime
Can’t sit and watch for long, messes my mind
Social distancing, oh what a bore
The wife keeps banging on the front door

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

'MarioD'...

smile cool laugh !!!

Cabin Fever has got to be one of the damndest things I've ever heard on this forum -- a 'socially conscious' song performed like a lounge singer in a smokey nightclub with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other, spiced with ingeniously comic lyrics that also raise the curtain just a little bit to take a peek at one of the darker realities concerning the epidemic:

"Will they make love, or will only one survive..." OOO-ooo, that smarts, but, hey, there's always a little rain after the sunshine, huh? laugh.

And then, there's this priceless gem:

"Common names will be Charmin and Scott...". Man, if Foster Brooks was still alive, he'd steal that line from you!

'MarioD', you sometimes make this comment about other User's Forum members' posts: 'It's a keeper'. Well, now, so is your Cabin Fever.

High-fives (smack!) all around!!!

LOREN

Mario, you're always soo funny!! I appreciate a man with a good sense of humor like your "wife's banging on the door". Stay away from that wife, I'm sure she's contagious. Ha!!

Mario,

HAHAHA!

A fun, fantastic write. Very funny...

Nice to hear you singing!

I like the BAND (but the ride was a bit loud for my tastes).

Enjoyed.

Hey Mario,

I have been listening in my absence, and you have been sounding great.

This is awesome too, dude!

Thanx Belladonna! If I let the wife in then the Corona virus is the least of my worries grin

Heh - we all need to smile during these times - and this did the job perfectly!!! Thank you - deceptively beautiful song, too, underneath the humorous lyrics. Loved it - again, thanks for the smiles!

Unlock the door, Mario, for Pete's sake.
Seriously, I didn't know you are a lounge singer. Humor puts me in mind of Tom Waits. You don't happen to be a fan of his, do you?

Hilarious!!! This is amazing... definitely put a smile on my face during these crazy times.

Probably a good thing I read the lyrics before listening. I almost spat out my drink when reading the final line and certainly wouldn't have been able to hold back when I heard it!!

I'm not a lounge singer or any kind of singer.

I have heard some of Tom Waits' music but I can't say that I am a big fan. I just haven't listened to him very much.

Thanx for listening and commenting.

Thanks Mario for the big smile, really good and funny approach to the serious subject, I didn't expect that smile Nice to hear you sing. I guess the title refers to the movie with the same name?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
