Marty,
This is great! Your skills in both performance and productions are stellar. Bass glues things really well. Vocals have a very "live" feel, not over processed, yet sit very comfortably in the mix. Quality stuff! Enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing.

Marty, not only do you know the blues you can sing the hell out them!

I have huge blues collection, both vinyl and CD, and if I had heard this in a record store I would have bought it right then and there.

This is absolutely some of the best blues I have heard.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Hey Marty,

I nearly missed this song of your Blues feelings! I think to busy avoiding Covid attacks overhere (or making songs from poems).
And man, I think you know Blues, that's for sure! I wanted to write I liked the solopart with the leadguitar, or the story, but it turns out I liked everything in this song. Well... maybe your voice can be more raw. No, I'm kidding.
But I was also thinking you have no studio now and live in a misserable situation. If I had to live like that, Marty, see what blues I would make then! ;-)

Hi Marty,

Those who know me here know I love the blues and this is just my kind of thing.

A great relaxed blues backing with an excellent solo, all wrapped up in a perfect mix.

But the best bit for me is your fabulous vocal delivery. Shades of Joe Cocker in there, of
whom Ray Charles once said - "He's the only white man I know who can sing the Blues."

More please...

ROG.

Wow, Over-the-top, Mario. I usually only play bass because I can't sing and play simultaneously. It's like I use my vocal chords (sorta) when I play, and use my fingers (sorta) when I sing. With your encouragement, maybe I should grab the mic more often. But then who would play bass? Thanks again, man.

Wow, ROG. Thanks you, fellow bluesman. That Joe Cocker reference blew me away, and I agree with Ray (almost). I always thought Joe sang like a bass player playing air bass.

It's no secret we love the blues and we love this!

You've got the soulful voice for the genre...you either
get it or you don't in our opinion when it comes to the blues.
Not a lot of middle ground smile

Nice blues write and production and very well done RT
solos.

And you have some great bass chops to go with that vocal!

Enjoyed the audio and video.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
