That's a fine tribute to your mentor, I never knew/heard of John Prine but I did google him and yes , you can hear his style and ways in yourself Floyd.
Another excellent all rounder.
Thanks beatmaster - thanks for having a listen...

As you know, Prine was a hero of mine also. I have followed him since the early days in Chicago. His unique view of world can’t be replaced. The song is a great tribute. The best thing is how it builds and uses some of the same arrangement principles as JP. You are truly a wordsmith and a fine arranger as well as a helluva singer. Thoroughly enjoyed, Tom

As usual, outstanding work here. I'm glad I read your entire notes before I listened to it. Very moving tribute. So many good lines in this. (It' almost as if you could be a professional songwriter, if you tried.) Seriously, great job on this. I agree with HearToLearn's "Leader Of The Band" comparison (another great song). I don't really know what else to say, you always hit it out of the park. But this one may just be the longest drive yet. (But then, I'm a sucker for the more personal, from deep in the heart kind of songs.) Thanks for writing this! Steve Steve - thanks for all the nice comments. Always good to have you stop in for a listen... floyd,
I haven't listened to John Prine so I can't compare your songs to his songs. Apart from that, this song is great as usual. And once again, I realize that everybody has his predecessor to worship. I deeply felt your tribute to John Prine, even though I didn't know him. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi Shigeki Adachi - thank you!

This is not the type of music I would listen to, so I have never heard of John Prince, at least consciously. But you have done a great tribute, I really appreciate how you have turned the interesting backstory of your hero to lyrics that reflect your feelings so strongly and in fine emotional details.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
