I promised myself I'd catch up with other things (work-related, etc.) and not write so much until I do so, but ... I can't keep away from the Band-in-a-Box software, it seems :-) Anyway, here's the latest track I finished this morning ... I hope you like it. Thank you so much for listening and for any comments!

MEMORY

It's been so long since I've been in love;
The roses used to bloom in May,
We used to walk but hand in hand
And smile, from sunrise, throughout the day.

The flowers used to turn around when we
Were walking, hearts beating so strong,
Dark eyes reflecting into your own eyes ...
I wonder what went wrong.

Cold water thrown across our tables,
The fountain sprinkles through the mist ...
The time is hazy, the world has moved on
And long it is since it all ceased.

Today, I walk around once more
Retracing my footsteps through the past ...
I step outside, the sun shines bright,
I am where we first met, at last.

Alas, there is no stunning girl

I sit me down and hide a tear
At the still powerful memory.

I walk around; I see the garden
The place where we first met;

A nice backing track. A good lyric.

A good pace on your vocal. Just a little loud compared to your tracks and a very slight bit of "boominess" that could be tamed with some simple EQ settings..

James, this is really good. The backing tracks sound great. Your lyrics are excellent, i.e. love them, especially the last verse.

I do agree with Floyd in the fact that you voice is a little "boomy".

Thanks everyone! I'm beyond useless with even simple production things, but one's gotta learn, so ... I'm going to experiment with the EQ settings and hopefully, through trial and error, I'll be able to tame this "boominess". It's this wretched mic of mine ... it's boomy by nature, it feels - I've had better ones in the past ... but, again, no excuses ... I'll work on the EQ and see what happens :-)

Thanks Greg and thank you Janice & Bud! I'm really glad you enjoyed this track. I'm taking a little break from writing now, which I hope will prove helpful when I start to write again. Sometimes, one's just gotta take a step back and take a deep breath, but who knows what may follow? Again, thank you so much!

Excellent tune James. Loved the backtrack very cool chord progression. Lyric and vocal delivery was excellent as well. Well done
