Got It

Just me Jamming with my new Harley Benton Guitar. I hope you like it for what it is, just a jam.

BiaB style = Citynite - city night 16 smooth jazz
I deleted the rhythm guitar and bass.

Drums - Addictive Drums 2 - preset modern jazz bumdle - smokey room
Fx - Masetati DRM stereo
Piano - Sonivox - Eighty Eight - Grand piano
Strings - Synthmaster - PD Mellow Pad
Shaker - Kontakt - Brio Ensemble
I am playing the guitar and my P-Bass.
The guitar was recorded straight into my computer - FX - Waves Vocal Rider and H-Comp, Raum Reverb.
The P-Bass FX - Amplitube SVX - Pop Fingered 2

I hope you like this for what it is, a simple jam.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Oh man, what a nice tone. I am experiencing a degree of guitar envy!

Nice guitar, very nice playing.

Man, I love that tone! I've had my eye on those guitars too, one of these days I'll get one.

And always love hearing you play jazz style guitar, so smooth and melodic! Bass playing is not too shabby either as far as that goes wink

Excellent!

Hi Mario,

You play very carefully on that brandnew Harley Benton. Must have cost a lot!
No, I'm joking. You have a very lovely song with this one.
It sounds so smooth all together.

There is one tiny thing though; I think the organ is a bit too loud. It dominates a bit, while the sound of the piano was hidden. You could give that instrument some more gain and take it away from the organ?

But all together, a very nice song!
Hans

Thanx for listening and commenting. You might want to check out Harley Benton guitars. Bobcflatpicker put me on to them. They are very inexpensive but very high quality.

I must admit I was very leery about this brand until bobcflatpicker post very good reviews about them. So I decided to gamble and I'm very glad that I did. I saved myself around $600 USD as I was looking at other brands that yielded the same tonal qualities as this Harley Benton.

Actually Hans that Harley Benton saved me a lot of money. The are very inexpensive but very high quality guitars.

Even though I send wavs up to Soundcloud sometimes their finished mix sounds different then mine. But I will check my mix later today to see if it is as you say here. Thanx for pointing that out.

Mario,

A really nice sounding guitar. Nice chording going on...
And a sweet bass sound.
The piano is really nice - just catches your ear every once in a while.

Well put together throughout.

A good listen. You've got to be very pleased with the new purchase...

Mario,

Very nicely done. I can hear why that model is called BigTone.

Sounds like you're going to be getting a lot of use from your Harley Benton.

I look forward to hearing you play some more on that guitar. Nice bass playing too.

Thanx Floyd. Yes I am very pleased with this guitar. It has the tonal qualities that I was looking for in a jazz guitar.

Thanx Bob for both listening and commenting as well as pointing me to these guitars. I can see a couple of them in my future!

I understand completely. I've already got 2 of their acoustic guitars and I got a 335 style for my son plus I have a strat style currently in transit. There's at least 3 more I plan on getting as soon as they get them back in stock.

I never thought I'd see the day when you could get such high quality instruments for so little money.

Mario ... Love the song! And I always like your jazz numbers. Your new axe has the perfect tone for this song ... reminded me somewhat of a 335. That was a sweet listen, my friend! Looking forward to hearing more. Not too shabby on that bass, either!

Wishing you the best. Be safe ...

Alan

Mario,
I've had only one experience with HB guitars - I bought one of their Rickie 12 string knockoffs - it's GREAT: easy to tune & stay that way, MUCH easier on my finger tips that my Fender acoustic 12.
This is a lovely, mellow shuffle though chords and runs.
I enjoyed it AND the tone.

Cheers

Thanx Ray. I was amazed how well my HB stays in tune. On many inexpensive guitars the first thing that you have to change are the tuning keys. Not on this model!

I'm 74 and I never heard of them until Bobflatpicker put me on to them. They are a fantastic value.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
