This relates a bit to the last track I posted so I've given it a similar title. I used the same basic 'Answers' midi style.... https://soundcloud.com/user-663569023/soundtrack-to-the-questionBass: PopHalfNotesSync Ev85 (Playing Ample Upright) I used the 'accoustic guitar' midi to play a Pianoteq EP I use 'pad bowed' and 'Strings Rhythm Celtic Air Ev85' to play Synthmaster synth sounds. Drums are programmed in Logic Drummer (Playing EZ Drummer instrument) I am playing two different guitars, my Epiphone Broadway and my strat. Mixed in Logic. Thanks for listening....

Lovely song Chris. Back track instrument and style choice was very nice. Your guitar work sounded great. Loved your phrasing and choice of effects. Well done

Mellow and calm - nice. Whatever effect you've placed on the bass seems to send signal to the right as well but not left which is weird and unbalanced to my ears. I prefer bass up the middle and without modulation or reverb when possible - just personal taste. No one else has mentioned it so it may be me mishearing something.

Hey, rayc, well spotted. I had the bass set slightly left in the mixer but when I checked the instrument itself it was panned right...don't know how that happened... There are no effects on the bass apart from eq and compressor. I've updated the original but will have to check out how to update it on souncloud..... I think I have to delete the old track and do a fresh upload. Maybe tomorrow....

Hi Chris ...
What a wonderful listen! I, too, get the bass line on the far right. yeah, a little unbalanced, as Ray commented, but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of your great song.m Chill and relaxing ... totally loved my listen. You have a nice touch on your guitar ... very, very pleasant!
As far as posting and edited version, simply pull up your track on Soundcloud, click the "edit" tab, and at the top of the page simply click onto the "Replace File" tab. Then upload the edited file as you did the original. Soundcloud will then replace the original file with the edited/remixed file. then simply save it. That's all there is to it.
Again, really nice! Best to you. Be safe ...
Alan

Actually rayc, I was still having trouble with the pan. I'd set it centre on the instrument and the mixer and it still kept resetting to the right. I finally tracked it down. The panning was incorporated in the midi information that was transferred from BIAB and I had to go into the midi automation panel... Something to be aware of in future....

Thanks Alan, it seems you need the 'pro' version of soundcloud to use that edit feature. I may have to upgrade from the free version as I can see that would be very handy..... glad you enjoyed the music. I haven't been posting here for long and am still getting to know my way around, listen to all the music and meet everyone....

Finally figured out how to fix the bass panning and have replaced the file with an updated version. Thanks rayc.

We both learnt something then Chris. I make a point of turning off reverb, maxing volume (100), returning EQ and panning settings to 0 before exporting tracks from BIAB to Reaper. That allows much more flexibility in the box. Sounds much better now. I've no acquaintance with MIDI so avoid it where & when I can.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
