Outstanding guitar tone and chops! A great vocal, super backing tracks, and a perfect mix.

I agree that this sounds like a Robert Cray song.

I have many of the same influences. I have a number of blues vinyl in my collection. Have you listened to Albert King? Taj Mahal?
Keb Mo?

Hi Mario,
You're very kind with your comments.
Once again, coming from a guitarist I really appreciate those kind words.
Cheers,
ROG.

Oh, man, Rog, I grew up with the same diet. I've read your menu and they are all some of my favorite foods. You have really digested them well and spit out some incredible blues here. EVERYTHING in the mix is superb. Great band, GREAT BLUES. Makes me hungry for more.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Leon,
It seems there are lots of us who were listening to the Beano album around that time.
I think it was the second blues album I bought - Lightning Hopkins was the first!
Many thanks for looking in and the kind review.

Many thanks.
Yes, it seems quite a few of us were listening to the same artists back then.

Your voice, tele (great tone) and bass absolutely nailed the groove. When it comes to the blues you either have it or you don't...not much in between smile

You and the sax guy sound like you've been sitting in together for a while...really great use of that RT.

Oh yeah, the lyric is super cool.

MORE!!

J&B

Hi J&B,

You really are too kind!
Back in the 80s I played on a lot of sessions with the same sax guy and he
always left these little gaps for the guitar to fill. After a while, you get
to know how the other guy is thinking and on this track, I thought it might
be fun to try to recreate that with an RT. I enjoyed doing it and I'm pleased
it worked for you as well.
Many thanks for the listen and all the nice comments.

Sweet tone. That's also some good lyric crafting.

Good song and I enjoyed it.

Always love a good blues song, so heartfelt and emotional. Love the moral of the story "Get A Job", right on!! There's no free lunch.

Hi Belladonna,
Some fifty years ago I was playing guitar on studio session and this old guy, one
of the brass section, said to me - "Always play from the heart and you won't go far wrong".
It's some of the best advice I've ever received and I've tried to follow it ever since.
It's one of the things I liked about your recent song - you sing from the heart.
Many thanks for looking in and for the review - much appreciated.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
