A subjective comment—it will hit people in different ways—but offering it up for what it’s worth.

Enjoyed this one! Nice work!

All my best,

Thanks for the positives, Deej.
For an iconic line its surprising how few folks seem to recognize it, though I take your point it will be distracting to some.

Rob, I think this is your best to date. Super nice rhythm section. Your vocal is excellent but your lyrics took it over the top for me.

Great song.

Bowie's popularity was during our lost bluegrass years smile

Irrespective of all that we enjoyed the walk across another one of your
always creative and vivid sonic landscapes.

As always you tell a story that leaves plenty of dots for the listener to connect.
We like that.

Standouts for us were your vocals and the steel. We've used that RT several before
and feel it is one of the best. It adds so much and distracts from nothing.

Really nice.

Thanks very much J&B!
The pedal steel solo gives me goosebumps; tempting to just let it go on.

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard on here.

A masterpiece from every aspect ... music, lyrics, performance. The lyrics are so moving ... the writing is sublime and you sing it with your trademark, so to speak, sensitivity.

I am not going over the top with any of my comments, by the way ... this is, far and away, an extraordinary song to my ears - and I'm not shy in saying so. The sensitivity, sadness and communication levels are off the scale - incredible. Hats off to you.

Hurray, I got the quote. I was worried I would not and would look stupid. But it stood out pretty well. And the rest of the words were jewels as well. A pleasure to read and listen to.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
