Well, as the title says, it's definitely not "Smooth Operator!"

But it was an enjoyable listen. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Mike ...

Di and I have used this style on two of our songs and love it. Your "adjustments' to the original style are a real nice fit. We're Sade fans from a long time back ... wish she had some more recent songs.

As always, a super listen! best to you. Take care and be safe ...

Alan

Mike - Yeah - not Sade, but has that vibe. Very interesting variation in that style and has that smooth sound. Sounds like the congas are trying to push it into a Bossa or something, but the oohs keep holding it back. I like it. Just one small thing - for me the vocal oohs were a little to forward.

I got a bit of a Sade vibe from it as well. Excellent tune. Well done

Maybe its title is 'Not so Smooth...', but the delivery certainly is smooth.

An enjoyable listen.

Thank you all for the listen and comments. Sade was one of my favorite "smooth" singer from when back then. Her music had a special quality to it.

Hi, Mike !

Have been hiding on our
summerplace far away from
computers so I have not
had any chance to listen or
comment earlier but !!
IMO this tune of yours is
very smooth indeed not
Sade´s smoothness but in
a very smooth gentle fashion
that I like as much !

Cheers
Dani

I hadn't checked out this style before this. I like it. It does have a Sade vibe to it. I really like what you've done with it. Really enjoyable listen.

The sax even quotes the odd smooth operator phrase.
It's laid back but not quite to cardiac arrest.

Cheers

A boss Bossa!

Smooth and engaging all the way thru and, of
course, your usual fine mix.

Nice!
