Time Time by Jubilee ReedA Valentine’s Day gift to her (at the time) boy friend (and now) husband. Double tracked the vocals. Two separate takes panned left and right. All harmonies by Jubilee. All guitar tracks by Jubilee Her Husband Mark plays bass on this song (not as many notes as the original BIAB player but not too shabby at all!) On the little guitar riff sections Jubile is also singing melody and harmony “oo’s”! Time Jubilee Reed

Nicely done I really enjoyed the vocals on this, and it has a delightful modern sound. It almost reminds of certain songs by Neko Case. It flows really well, and I found the mix profession and concise. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

Loved how the vocals were double tracked. She did a good job keeping them fairly alike and they give a nice stereo effect panning them hard left/right.
No noise or pops that I can find on this one, LOL. Keep up the good work!

I like this one the best among the ones you've posted with Jubilee. This one really connects with me melodically. Radio quality iMHO.

Hi Marty,
this is very nice in every respect: Great composition, good backing-track (only remark: I think there are RealDrums that would fit the song more smoothly), and the vocals are amazing.
Really cool stuff, like it a lot.
Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Steve: yes we were getting much better at recording by the time we got to this song. We Started about a year ago with a goal of releasing a 4 song EP in Nov this year. Lots of learning as we went along.
Hey Stefan...Interesting comment about the drums. Jubilee often said she thought the drums had too many "random" fills. She was after me to remove some of them. But I thought they were ok and never did anything about it.
But now you have my curiosity bug on high alert to review the drums....
I guess this mixing business is never done and one can always think of something to do better.
Thanks so much to all.

Outstanding, every single part.
Jubilee is masterful, and shines with her beautiful vocal skills.
The mix doesn't get in the way of anything.
Everything about this is quality, quality, quality.

Great song! Love it. My fav of the ones I've heard so far. I'm listening on headphones and I had to get used to the left/right panning - more used to a center vox with left/right doubles on sides instead of just harmony coming in on center. So I had trouble making out all the lyrics. The second time I listened (not surprised and focused on the panning) I read the lyrics as the song was playing and I liked the "different" sound. Still, I'm wondering if you couldn't get that same ethereal feeling with a more standard doubles panning approach but production is such a personal choice. If whatever genre she's going for uses this technique then I'd keep it, if not I might rethink it. One thing for sure, I'm a fan of her voice and songwriting.

Mr. Marty,
Has a very R.E.M. type sound to this song; nice harmonies, and strong vocal. Part of me was looking for maybe a bit of a change up in the latter choruses or maybe bridge . . but as it is it works very well. Terrific listen!
Best regards,
Deej

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
