This is a song I did 10 years ago. This is the third iteration of the song. It was a tribute to Keith Richards telecaster.

This is a new mix with rerecorded tracks.

This one has bits and piece of quite a few real tracks.

Smooth as butter. The kind of blues it's nice to go to bed by...cool as a pillow. Lovely melody. Feels especially right right now. Much enjoyed.

But you played a strat in tribute to a tele? Dang guitar players.

Hi Scott ...

Love a mellow and passionate Blues. And this fills that bill perfectly. You always have a sweet touch on the strings and this one is softer than a marshmallow landing in a tub of cotton balls.

Wishing you the very best. Be safe ...

Really good, Scott!

I really like your style, very unique to these ears.

Only complaint was it was too short wink

Yeah, this is nice Scott, Laid back with just the right melody. Keith and i have one thing in common, he doesn't care much for effects, especially foot controlled prefers the amp , guitar and fingers to give the tone. Me too. Cliff

Hello Scott,

You made a very nice, smooth song and I really enjoyed the leadguitar, sorry... the Stratocaster from Keith Richard. Was it really his stratocaster or only a tribute to it?

And is the song played as the original version, or did you alter some of the melody? (and I don't mean you uses the real trachs of course).
I think you did a good job on this one, Scott!

Hans

Great tone and playing Scott! It was way too short! You were just getting warmed up! I appreciate your contributions to this forum! Thanks, Torrey

Thanks Tangmo. Yes I had to use a Strat to rerecord this. I was out of Teles. They have passed through here from time to time but none have found a permanent home. Glad you like the song

Cool guitar playing and sound, I really enjoyed the beautiful calm melody. That lower bass sound made me turn up the volume.

Scott, that is genuinely mesmerizing. A great example of how related blues and jazz are.

Your arrangement, RT choices and ultimately THAT tone and playing make for a fine albeit too short listen. Could've gone on and on for us.

MUCH enjoyed!

Scott,
This is a good vehicle for your understated melodic style. If anything your playing gets more intuitive as you get into this - I particularly like the passage beginning 2:12- magical!
Good Rt choices and nothing ( except the short length) takes away from a fine instrumental.

Thanks Floyd. Redoing this song was mainly to improve the mix. Trying to improve my skills in the mixing and mastering process. Have a long way to go.

Thanks Cliff for checking out the song. I agree my best live sound is definitely pushing the amp until the tubes start to break up. I have been working on my mixing skills so maybe getting a little carried away with the plugins.

Thanks Hans I had to use a strat as I dont have a telecaster at this moment. I have had a few in the past but did not bond with any of them. One was close. I used a strat as it is the Tele's cousin lol. I came up with the name as I was reading Keith Richards book "Life" at the time. Thought it was a cool name. Glad you liked the song

What they said. smile

I would have preferred an edgier tone to the guitar, but that's just me.

Well played.

Hi Scott,
This, this is really cool. I hear so many different bands in this. Everything from Dire Straits (Brothers in Arms) to some of the early stuff from Whitesnake. It's also really strange how I can hear these words in the notes you're playing...
Sorrow and pain...
But I know I see you again...
