Janne, Good, kind song. Well composed and performed in signature style! I like the concept of this: "everybody gains from the slowed-down wheel" Thank you for sharing.
Misha.

Well was not expecting that , different sound/style and lyrically all over the place in a very good way , Bob Dylan makes me say the same thing a lot when I listen to some of his albums .
That's a compliment in itself, so thanks from me and take care.

"Earth is not a giant who can hold up the burden of mankind on her shoulders. Tears of abuse greed draining her powers it should be the turn of the human hand to hold her."
Nice write, sung with passion, and we particularly liked the above lines. Great band choice and the sax really fit in. The fretless bass was a good choice...one of my fav bass sounds. Enjoyed it! J&B Thanks Janice & Bud for your positive feedback I knew you would like those lines I was thinking about starting the song with that verse but I wanted the story go from a man to a larger concept. Glad you liked the sax. Janne

I liked your lyrics and the conceit of humans helping out the planet. The song has unusual changes and groove as do most of your songs. This made the saxophone, IMHO, stick out like a sore thumb. I'm not sure what would go in its place, but I felt like it needed to be something unusual to match the piece. Others have liked the sax, so maybe it's just me. Overall, nice to see so much creativity. Thanks TuneMonger for your kind and insightful comment I never questioned the choice of sax, to me it felt just right. Another alternative I tried was an electric background guitar (#3353), but it was too far away from the mood so I didn't use it. Surely I'll consider if you come up with an unusual idea for the solo Janne

Really nice. A terrific sounding song - the chord progression is cool, the melody is excellent. And a solid lyric - well done. Good hook/title. Excellent BAND. A great blend. The combination of acoustic guitar and tambourine is super. The sax solo sounds good to be. Very tasteful piano and strings addition. And well mixed. Your vocals sound really good, too. One of your best, I think. Definitely my favorite. Well done. fj Thanks Floyd, very nice to read your very positive comment I'm really glad that my progression didn't scare you nice to read that you think that the song is one of my best.. the lyric writing took most of the time, good that it paid off. And when the title suddenly came to my mind, I knew that it had a nice hook, thanks for noticing it! I think that the start of the chorus melody is bit too familiar, otherwise I have tried to follow my own way. I appreciate your kind feedback about my vocals... I tried to sing without trying to concentrate on pronunciation too much, maybe that helped my singing to sound more relaxed. Janne

Janne,
As usual, the chord progression is elaborate. Nevertheless, I am always surprised that the melody line does not get lost and flows smoothly. Exactly this song is your most original tune of all your original tunes. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

I'll confess I've rather purposefully avoided "covid-19" songs almost as much as I've tried to avoid the virus. I do my best to process the world more personally without much comment from people I don't yet love.
That said, I really appreciate the tone of this lyric. It is quiet and introspective and full of grace. I'm very glad to have heard this.

Thanks Tangmo for finally listening to my song and not avoiding it and still writing such a positive review I hope the song wasn't contagious or anything like that Janne

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
