Hi there J&B + Peter,
A great song with a great message, delivered in the nicest possible way by Janice's splendid vocal.
It's taken me a while to get round to this one, but I'm so glad I caught up with it.
A very polished and professional sound with some delicate guitar work from Peter and a perfect mix from Bud.
Super work.
ROG.

That familiar Janice lilt passes, carrying with it a lovely lyric. "Changes" indeed, reflected in the many "changes" in the progression (intended or not). Solid band and mix with some seasonal seasoning from Peter. All told, a sweet way to pass the listen. Very much enjoyed. Thanks for the kind words! J&B

This gives me a sense of the Rita Coolidge and other stuff happening around the Mad Dog's tour...not the swirling in the centre but the calm, gentle pretty stuff that ached for Woodstock's forest cabins and searched for Bonnie & Delaney's spirit. I agree. Janice's vocal is awesome as usual. Peter's guitar is like icing on the cake and of course Bud is the perfect baker. Outstanding song. Thanks Mario! Glad you liked it. We appreciate your support. J&B

I signed in for a very short time; but gave this a listen. It's strange to have a certain expectation, when you see the names that are listed, and think "Well, this will be great." The reason it's strange for me is, I have an expectation; yet it's a new take on that expectation. Every song a familiar place I have never been before. MANY more accolades are deserving. You know me, I would right a book. I have time for a sentence today. Sorry for that. Thanks for sharing this! I hope all is well with all of you! I love that line - Every song a familiar place I have never been before. So true of your music. Both of you (and Peter) have a way of making multiple styles sound as if you were born to play/sing it. Not many can do that. Great job! Steve

Oh, so sweet. The kind of feel that closes my eyes and rocks me side to side with an ever-lasting smile. Everything about this is SOOOOO special. Love the time and the changes. One constant is the union of you 3. Such a strong song, Bud, Janice & Peter.

Slow and contemplative - lots of space for the instruments.
Excellent vocals (of course) and guitar (also of course).
It's got a bit of the early Jackson Browne feel.
I really liked the "echo" harmony bits. Thanks David and we appreciate the Jackson Browne mention. J&B

Hello Lady and Gentlemen ...
Gosh, so pretty and perfectly arranged.... a listener's delight. melancholy, as I think this lyric is, doesn't have top be overtly sad in every case. In this song, melancholy and pretty are a great marriage.
All the usual kudos about the talent you folks have ... I have run out5 of new words to annotate the splendid music you gives us. A wonderful listen.
Best to all of you and please be safe ...
Alan Thanks Alan. “melancholy and pretty are a great marriage” is an lovely way of describing it. We appreciate it! J&B

Bud, Janice and Peter, Time passes, things change and yet the three of you remain at your high level of creativity. The write is perfect for the mood and Janice continues to wow with her gift of delivery. The guitars are just right. I liked the chord choices. I absolutely loved ray’s comments as I just finished reading Rita C’s memoir for the second time. I always expect a high quality mix and this did not let me down. Whatever the genre your combined experience makes it shine. Always a pleasure, Tom

I Love your singing voice Janice. You have that unique quality in your voice which enables you to sing _TO_ rather than _AT_ the listener which results in a much more engaging and pleasurable listening experience. Not many singers can achieve this. Thank you so much Gary. I really appreciate you saying that! Janice Very compelling and moving. Beautiful voice and guitar. Wonderful harmonies. Excellent composition. Thanks for your time to listen and write such nice comments! J&B

Nice to read how a simple phrase turned into very lovely lyrics, irrevocability in the chorus, but so relieving to read the last line of the last verse: "keep the spirit strong things are gonna be alright". The simple arrangement fits the flow of the words, Peter's gentle playing, Janice's relaxed singing and the fresh sounding chording complete the creative package, you are really making your own way.
Janne Thank you Janne for those thoughtful and positive comments. We appreciate every word of it. It means a lot to us. And Janice was excited that you liked the chording! J&B Janice, Bud & Peter,
A new favorite for me...
Love the sentiment of this song and the flowing instrumentation. It really wraps itself around the lyric and delivery.
No words to describe the vocal by Janice, except simply stellar.
A brilliant production.
Bob Bob, we so much enjoy your productions and that makes your comments all the more special to us. Thanks! J&B Nice and slow. Flows like a river. Caught me by surprised when ended Fundamental message that never retires. Janice, your vocals shine on this. I like your voice on slower tunes like this ballad or blueses. Peter's guitar is smooth and sits very well. Bud, I do not know how you do it. Seems no matter of genre or instruments, your tunes always sound good. Great teamwork! Thank you for sharing. Misha. Misha, your positive reviews and support have never gone unnoticed. Thanks for mentioning so many of the of production goals that we had hoped to achieve. We are humbled. J&B

I didn't analyze the tune, no need, I just listened and related. We've gone through some major changes ourselves in the past few years, some sad, some happy, some tragic. And there's always more to come. Time passes, things change. Be well.
p.s. L O V E the song!!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
