What kind of guitar is that playing the rhythm, looks like an upside down strat?
Thanks Dave. The guitar is a Guyatone LG125 half Mosrite and half someone's elongated imagination. It should have two P90s but the bridge one was replaced with a humbucker before I acquired it. Weirdly good & goodly weird.

Words won't do, Ray, but... These may give you a sense of how good I think your music is. I haven't played, nor do I listen to your STYLE of music, but, man, this is sooo good from beginning to end. Total respect for you and the quality of what you can do.

That is VERY kind of you sir. It was my 1st time writing to a specific key/s and for the specific purpose of trying to find one that I could almost sing in. The song was written in BIAB which made the above specific far, far easier.

A big beautiful sound, ray! Powerful and clear. I like the shirt & tie!! fj
Thank you fj, the result was, in no small part, down to your forensic observation and suggestion skills. I don't drink so the shirt n tie are substitutes for the belt I needed to do the video.

Ray, This is one of the coolest songs I heard by you (top 3 for sure). Don't listen to any suggestive comments not to get derailed. It is perfect! I assume it is all you + Bandi(lol) and magic dust by Fran? Excellent!!! Thank you for sharing. Misha.
I decided to finish the song for that very reason Misha: I had some excellent suggestions that lead me in the right direction but also, elsewhere, others that were pulling the song away from it's direction & vibe. Thank you for your ongoing positivism.

Everything sounds great to me!! Did you self master or send to someone? Take care. Greg
Greg, Thank you kind fellow. I don't "master" as my hearing and skills aren't up to it. For the past eight or so years I've sent my mixes to Fran Ashcroft in the UK to master for me. He'll let me know if the mix is deficient in some area, needs an EQ adjustment or panning change and then masters with a musical ear. Happy Beat He's a performer, engineer, producer and ME so brings the whole bag perspective to doing the mastering for me.

I suspect your skills are up to and I know that your ears are more than up to it!
Everything sounds great Ray and man does that effect on your eyes go with the "shocker" tie Cool!!!
Really a fine mix/master ... the soundstage placement of the guitars and your vocal is impressive. Separate yet blended is the best way I can describe it.
I really like your videos. We used to do one for every song but grew tired of the time it took and they were nowhere as complex as yours. Yours are engaging but not to the extent that they distract from the music. That's a sweet spot lots of folks can't seem to hit.
Glad Dave asked the guitar question...I was wondering.

Thanks for the kind words. This video was, perhaps, the fastest and easiest thus far. I spend 40 mins filming, (several attempts where the camera was off or on still etc), and then a bit of time searching the net for creative commons clips to use as the background. A couple of hours editing, for a codger like me retired & in lockdown, was fun and filled time. Again, thanks for your very kind words.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
