Hi, friends !

Must say I´ve been away for too long really !
Have to tell you the reason: We were to have
a reparation of the plumming system in our
City House in Helsinki ! As we could not fly down
to Spain to Marianico, we started to search for
a summer cottage at a radius of 150-200 km:s from
Helsinki, and finally after having seen at least
20 different places we found our little cosy
cabin in Kiikala, Salo some 93 km:s from our city
home ! ...and naturally we´ve lived there up til now
mostly completely out of computers and other
electronic devices than our mobile phones !

So, my friends, AS I am only starting to finish new material
I thought I would post this older tune "Summer Is Gone"
that I did write for quite a time ago !

It deals with the summer ending up here in the north and
the crispy chilling fall coming in to replace it slowly
but surely !

My apologizes for not having saved the lyrics separately
but I think or at least I hope that you´ll be able to
detect the words from the tune !

No info about the instros or styles either since
they were on a computer that cracked up before saving !

Cheers
Dani

And here is a picture of the view from our new
summer cabin named Tallero, which means peace amongst the Pine trees !

Another signature Dani, I have to admit that I always find your material intriguing and this is no exception.

Harmonies, and everything slotted together perfectly. Great backing, really enjoyable listen.

Nice, really.

Real nice melody. Liked the harmonies alot. Interest-holding movement of chords.
Enjoyed it.
Only constructive comment--I would have carried out the I-IV vamp to a fade at the end.
Thanks for posting!

Hey Dani, this tune really takes me back. Sounds like something I might have heard in the radio in the 70's. Beautiful harmonies and you've really captured a sunny, summery feel. I can just picture sun, clouds, hiking or picnicking on a grassy hillside.

Perfect song for the beginning of autumn. Very pleasing vocals.
Nice melancholy chording and melody. Enjoyable band and great radio-friendly mix.

Nice looking cottage smile Hope to hear your new material soon smile

Welcome back, Dani. Lovely gentle tune. Really enjoyed the harmonies. And nothing I like better than 'getting [myself] out in the crispy air.' The cabin looks to be in a beautiful spot.

Leon

That was a pleasant listen!

Exactly what I needed after weeks of smoke and haze here - a short vacation to a cabin surrounded by greenery. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Dani,
Your silky smooth layered harmonies and ever positive pop songs have been missed.
You deliver again with this- and I like that idea of offgrid cabin life!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
