Whatever decade this song is reminiscent of, I certainly like it. I've always liked jangling guitars. Catchy song!

Hello Vic,

Good rock, well paced. The voice in front is reminiscent of a live concert. Very different composition from changing which I also appreciated. Well done.

Well Dero, that made my day.
I always try to steer recordings a little toward the live sound.
Thank you for that.

Great playing and just the right sound for the era. And in my view for all eras.

Yeah, like Bawb said. Wilbury's was the first thing that came to mind. A really good mix of instruments, and I like the changes and the lyrics are really good, too. Well written, well sung, and well presented, Vic. Thanks for sharing it here.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Nice one Vic. The whole package...write, vocals, band and mix.

The Roy O. / Wilbury's sound is apparent and that in our estimation
is always a good thing!

Well done.

J&B

PS I (Bud) also have old ears but my vocal fx (Nectar) can tame sibilance with a click.
There are a lot of de-essers around if you don't have one in the stable. FWIW.

Hey J&B.
I missed this comment 'til now.
I do have a de-esser but can never get it to work the way I want it to.
I prefer to do it manually by eq and vol automation. Not perfect and time consuming but at least I can see what's happening.

Thanks for the appreciation.

Vic,

70's (Light) Rock sums that up well.

A good use of BIAB.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
