Excellent narrative, arrangement and performances. There're some strident frequencies in Leon's voice during the 1st verse that could be tamed. The dynamic change at 2mins is cool too.

Peter & Leon,
Excellent. A strong write.

Nice!
Good vocal.
Good choice of a BAND. Nice builds and releases. Terrific arrangement. And a good mix.
Peter's ending guitar is superb.
Really like this.

A sad story indeed! Really good writing, Leon. Certainly my worse case scenario, I can't imagine life without my wife.
Love the build at 2:00, very powerful.
And Peter, just loved your outro playing, very emotive.
Good one guys, right up there with your best.

Sad stories seem to be your trademark, touching story with nice subtleness, "Everybody’s got their own little tragedy I’m just a man I’m not unique" beautifully said. Very nicely built blues chord progression. Enjoyed the band, vocals and the mournful guitar solo.

Peter & Leon, A write that hits home ( the chorus is so powerful!) set to a restrained, moody backing that fits. I agree with other listeners on that nice build of drama at 2:00 and the outro guitar is awesome. For my taste the doubled vocal sounded a little distracting at times, but that`s a minor thing- this is excellent work!

Hi Peter, Leon - This is an excellent write. Very strong lyrics. Has a great Americana sound to it (in my opinion). Agree with the other comments on mixing, performances, guitar.

Whoa, Peter & Leon. Yes, that's way too sad for me. I'm actually tearing up. Great guitar to take us out of such a tragedy, Peter. Emotional lyrics well written and sung, Leon.

The song is a bit lengthy for my attention span, but it's all well done.
Others mentioned that surprise around the 2:00 mark and I really like that too.

Gentlemen ...
This is really, really nice! Everyone did their part superbly. Love the delivery. When the b/g vocals come in at 1:58, and then again at 4:10, the song just soars! Great vocal, guitar work and a FABULOUS WRITE. so, what's not to like? Nothing!
Well done ... a real nice listen. Wishing you both the best. Please be safe ...
Alan

Lyrically, great start. But you got me hooked at the chorus: Always thought I’d be her sad story Never dreamed she would be mine I've gotta love a song that out and out proclaims what it's about.

Hello PeterF,
Beautiful endearing composition with a well done musical arrangement. I liked the lead guitar and the cello is in its place. Very good neat work.

Peter & Leon, Solid write! Nice guitars, especially solo. Strong, straight forward lyrics. Listens very well. That bridge really opened up ears Thank you for sharing! Misha.

Peter,
Gotta love a sad song. This has some really sweet lines in the write (and I like the little parenthetical asides). The bridge really resonates . . . nicely done. And, yeah, that outdo is very cool. Nice collab, gents!
All my best,
Deej
