Hi Peter, Leon - This is an excellent write. Very strong lyrics. Has a great Americana sound to it (in my opinion). Agree with the other comments on mixing, performances, guitar. Thanks (It could also be Australiana:) Peter

Whoa, Peter & Leon. Yes, that's way too sad for me. I'm actually tearing up. Great guitar to take us out of such a tragedy, Peter. Emotional lyrics well written and sung, Leon. Thanks Marty, Bud said Janice had the same reaction. I'll have to post a jaunty one next! Peter

It is a sad story and you tell it very well Peter. Not sure about the voice doubling. For me it takes away the lonely man idea and he's not alone.
Still good though,
Vic

The song is a bit lengthy for my attention span, but it's all well done.
Others mentioned that surprise around the 2:00 mark and I really like that too. Thanks glad you liked the bridge. Peter

Gentlemen ...
This is really, really nice! Everyone did their part superbly. Love the delivery. When the b/g vocals come in at 1:58, and then again at 4:10, the song just soars! Great vocal, guitar work and a FABULOUS WRITE. so, what's not to like? Nothing!
Well done ... a real nice listen. Wishing you both the best. Please be safe ...
Alan Thanks Alan really appreciate your very encouraging comments. Peter

Lyrically, great start. But you got me hooked at the chorus: Always thought I’d be her sad story Never dreamed she would be mine I've gotta love a song that out and out proclaims what it's about. Thanks David. Peter

Peter,
Gotta love a sad song. This has some really sweet lines in the write (and I like the little parenthetical asides). The bridge really resonates . . . nicely done. And, yeah, that outdo is very cool. Nice collab, gents!
All my best,
Deej Thanks a lot Deej. Peter

Your guitar intro hooked me in, and then the 60 seconds of guitar at the end was just...wow. You don't fail to disappoint, that's for sure.

Well, I (Janice) cried when I first read the lyric and then I cried again when I listened. These words are powerful as is the accompaniment. Leon's voice sounds so plaintive, which is just right for this theme and the band, especially Peter's guitar was a perfect match.
We often talk about how everybody has something they are dealing with and these lines represent that so well:
"Everybody’s got their own little tragedy I’m just a man I’m not unique [not all all]"
Powerful lyric, vocals, band and superb outro!
And I (Bud) have little to add to the above other than the mix is excellent!
Well done y'all!
J&B

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
