My son's birthday is in a couple of days and since he's off work today we'll be celebrating with just the two of us. I gave him one of his birthday gifts a few months ago. It was this; https://www.thomannmusic.com/harley_benton_hb_35plus_cherry.htmIt's about 70 deg and sunny with a nice breeze blowing and we're going to firing up the grill with mesquite charcoal in a couple of hours. This is what we're fixing; Grilled lobster tails, grilled colossal shrimp, grilled jumbo sea scallops, mussels steamed on the grill with butter and minced garlic, onion rings, stuffed jalapeno poppers, buttered and grilled bread sticks, butter w/ minced garlic for dipping, home made cocktail sauce and fancy cheesecake for dessert. I'd better get back to prep work.

My son and I had a wonderful meal and a great time today. He's turning 29 this week.
I'd always been the grill master until a few years ago. He wanted to take a crack at it and I assumed the role of prep cook and side dish fixer when it came to the grill. He's better at it than I ever was.
I'm still the head chef in the kitchen and he's my prep cook. No doubt he'll assume that role too because he's a great cook too.
I'm just trying to cherish the time I've got with him since none of us how much time we've got left. I just wanted to share with you guys.

I never use to think about not being here or someone I care about not being here. I think the stress of the times we are living in makes us all more aware of the fragility of life.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
