Not only did I have to say goodbye to my dog, the Fender Stratacoustic I bought just arrived, with the top pulled off the body from the bottom strap peg up 12 inches on each side, complete with broken pieces of the bindings laying in the bag. The seller refunded me the money immediately, but this was apparently a UPS thing. It isn't even worth fixing as badly as it is damaged. I'll take the Fender tuning machines off of it but that's all that I an use from it.
I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

My new to me guitar! The picture I bought it from did not look like this. The box shows SOME signs of impact but man.....

OH MY GOD! What did they do, drop kick the thing?!? I'm sorry Eddie, that really sucks. I had a similar experience with a keyboard some 10 years ago. I think it was Purolator though who damaged it then, though (I don't think you have Purolator in the US, but it's a common courier up north though). But man, even my keyboard didn't look that bad...yikes
Cheers, Deryk

This pains me.
I used to work at a local guitar shop. We saw this happen often enough - usually guitars come packaged pretty well from the factory, but sometimes we'd get a courier that went "above and beyond".
Interesting anecdote; there was this one time we had a guitar show up with a crack in the neck, about 4 inches long and wide enough to get a couple stacked guitar picks into. Thing is, there was paint inside the crack, meaning the crack was there well before it was painted, quality checked, packaged up, and shipped out. And this was from one of the biggest guitar companies out there.

Not exactly what you needed right now! I'll take the Fender tuning machines off of it but that's all that I an use from it. Maybe the Fishman pickup as well? And you could probably ebay the neck - I believe it's a bolt-on.

Just a heads up. If the original seller wants to claim insurance he may need to have that intact? guitar returned by the transport company. I lost a nice amp once since I had to send it back (in my case with minimal damage) so the seller could make the claim.

I lost a nice amp once since I had to send it back (in my case with minimal damage) so the seller could make the claim. That was my first question. The seller says what they can get out or pieces parts is not worth the time to file claims. At least I can easily see how the pickup mounts since I can see right into the body....

Eddie, you might want to write a song about this like this guy did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqozo&feature=emb_logo

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Mario, I hadn't seen that previously, but got some amusement (sorry, not a good term), because I've actually seen the same thing.
While waiting to board a plane at Heathrow, and looking out the window at the terminal, clearly an orchestra was traveling somewhere, and the 'baggage handlers' were 'delicately' loading their precision musical instruments onto a plane. Tuba's, Trumpets, Double Basses, Timpani's and much more. I remember reflecting on the graceful way these precision instruments were handled - - - not. Somehow, when receiving their 'cared for goods' at the other end of the journey, the orchestra would have been better off looking for a local music store.
Disgraceful.

I had a friend who played cello and she would always buy a second seat and put the instrument in a seat with a seat belt harness she had made for flying.

Ouch! I used to own one, but it sounded like a tin can and was no fun to play (yes, I know it's an electro-acoustic), so I ended up getting rid of it. I assume they eventually learned how to make them better. Plus, my skill level is nowhere near yours.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
