Nice tune and good playing. I liked the rhyming of violent and silent, nice contrast.

Leon & Peter,
A nice message, good write.
I like the simple opening leading to the full build. Good BAND. Good drums/percussion. Nice guitar fills and leads.
Well sung. (the vocal cold come down slightly).
The lyric really sticks with you following the repeats at the end.
Well done.

Hi Peter and Leon,
This is a wonderful listen. I love these lyrics, the lead vocals and the harmony, and they all sit ever so comfortably against a perfect backing! You've pulled out all stops with this.
When Leon first started singing, he reminded me of Slim Dusty. And I mean that as a huge compliment. Slim had a wonderfully engaging way of leading audiences along with his vocals as he told a story.
Really nice work! Noel Noel - thanks for that. I'm sure Leon will be pleased, and for our International friends google "The Pub With No Beer' by Slim Dusty - an iconic Australian tune. Peter

That was a real nice listen! Great lyric, backing tracks and vocal. And, of course, Peter's touch on the strings is always magic. Nice build on the percussions. Really cool song. loved my listen!

Peter (and Leon);
Nice opening, cool 60s folk song vibe going on. Like that you held back on the drums until that third verse (or so). Nice touch on the accordion, as it adds some lovely warmth. Like others, like that solo too—perfect fit and feel for the song. Great stuff, gentlemen—really enjoyable tune.
My best to you both,
Deej

Love the write, Leon. Vocals sound great too, both the lead and harmonies.
Good build, I like the way it starts with the Congas before bringing the drums in.
Super tasteful guitar work, loved the intro and solo(s)
Good one, Peter and Leon!
Thanks a lot Dave. Peter

It's a good thing. Well done. I do think you ought to spend a little time to find that strident/aggressive freq. in Leon's voice and cut it back with some EQ on the vocal track. It'd be a simple cut that could sit there quietly doing nothing until that sound appears in the vocal. Alternately a De- esser can be set to the same freq and do it automatically for you as needed. Cool song though. Thanks Ray I'll have another listen. Peter

"I need you like I never have Restore my optimism To get me looking at the world Through another prism" That drew Janice like a magnet Nice vocal performance ... lead and harmony. The guitar bits are excellent and very melodic in nature. You called in some fine Biab musicians for this and they laid down some great tracks. Also the congas were a nice touch -- we have used and really like that track and the 8th's keep it unobtrusive. The accordion was a nice addition. We love this and we also love Misha's latest ... back to back they offered quite the contrast in a fun way. You two never disappoint! J&B Bud & Janice Leon suggested we post this one after reading we made Janice cry with Sad Stories. Glad it worked for you. Peter

Thanks for bringing joy on this forum. Catchy and positive songs are what we need during these times. I like the transformation from acoustic start to the more electric ending. Accordion and congas add nice folky vibes. Leon's 'life experienced' vocal track supports the message perfectly.

This is an excellent folk/rock song. You really captured the feel of Americana here and the guitar adds a nice rock vibe and a bit of a southern feel. The guitars are excellent, and the vocals and lyrics really work well. It's definitely an uplifting song. One thing that really stood out is smooth delivery - the song just slides right into a comfortable groove and just leads you along for a nice ride. Enjoyed and appreciated

Nice collaboration Peter and Leon. Good lyrics: "Every thought is taking me To places best avoided Itchy fingers, sabres drawn Ignorance exploited" Lovely, understated guitar work. Cheers, Mike
