This is great. Loved it from start to finish. The song really sits well for Eddie's vocals and the backing vox and brass are really smooth. Enjoyed this from start to finish. Good Collaboration.

The combination of brass, organ and guitar is really well done. Bass and drums sound good. All the elements work, in fact. Oohs and BGVs are nice. Sax sounds like it was custom done..
A nice rhythm throughout. A good listen. Great mix.
fj Hi Floyd, Many thanks - much appreciated. I'm just learning how to get the best out of the new vocal RTs, but the sax RTs I've loved from the start. Great sounds and easier to work with than some sax players I've encountered! Cheers, ROG.

Cool - an abrupt beginning but you integrated the RTs ell. The horn section is pretty cool given the source. Well done. The harmony vocals do sound a little synthesized though. Oh, the return from the break is weird - what did you do? Hi Ray, The harmony vocals are using my old Syntovox vocoder. They sounded too straight for this song, so I gave them a bit of an edge. I wanted a bit of a step-change after the break, which is what I think you mean, but weird is fine. Many thanks for the review. Cheers, ROG.

Hello Rog,
I liked your very realistic lyrics compared to the life we live. Your voice lends itself perfectly to the blues rock orchestration that you offer us. It's pleasant. Morality, it is better to be on the winning side if you have had the chance to draw the right lottery ticket. Well done.

Loved the arrangement with the horns and nice use of the "Oohs".
Nice guitar hook, ROG. I was hoping for a solo, but the sax solo certainly worked well. Good vocals, and pro mix.
Sounds great guys, certainly not throw-away!
Hi Dave, Many thanks for the positive review. Having put guitar on the extended intro, I thought I'd let the sax have the solo - I just love those sax RTs. Really enjoying your tracks with Chris, but also your solo stuff. Thanks again. ROG.

Boy do I love the rhythm on this track. That horn section wowser. Very cool vocal. Got a Randy Bachman vibe. Guitar was excellent. Loved this tune Hi Scott, Many thanks for the comments - we worked hard to get the groove right and the horn section took a bit of work, so much appreciated. Randy Bachman? Great - thanks for that as well. Cheers, ROG.

Hi Rog,
yeah, that's what a good blues song needs: lack of illusions and a good bunch of pessimism. Although I disagree with verse #2 I really enjoyed the lyrics a lot !!!!
I was so pleased to hear you used brass - we don't hear that very often here. And they fitted like a glove - very well done, I think.
I also liked the approach of throwing in those 'un-bluesily' sounding vocals.
It's about 10 a.m. over here - that was a great song to begin the day with !!!!
Take care,
Stefan Hi Stefan, Yes, my thinly veiled cynicism was showing through a bit on this one . Thanks for the positives about the brass and the vocals - much appreciated. Cheers, ROG.

Well, it had Janice doing a Blues Brothers shuffle dance from the get go Shuffle blues are square in the middle of our wheelhouse so no problem enjoying this. Good vocal and instrumental performances all the way. You on bass Rog? Nice. All wrapped up in a great soundstage mix. Well done y'all! J&B Hi there J&B, Always pleased to get a review from you two and loved the mental picture of Janice doing the shuffle! Many thanks for all the nice comments and really pleased you liked it. Cheers, ROG.

Love it!! A good dose of cynicism can be cathartic at times!! Love this line:
Cos credit travels up, and blame travels down
Is that an original? Great stuff!! Take care. Greg Hi Greg, Many thanks for looking in and for the review. About "that" line - please see my reply to Robert at the top of the thread for full details of where that came from! Cheers, ROG.

Hi Rog and Eddy,
What a nice Blues you delivered. I liked it. I didn't do any shuffle like Janice did, but it moved my feet. That means the song is good, or cool. I was also positively surprised the horns worked out so well. I rarely use them in my songs (once, I think) but here they accentuate or carry the mood of the song very well! I do agree with Ray thought that those harmony vocals can use a bit of Melodyne.
But beside that, I really enjoyed this song! Hans Hi Hans, Thanks for the nice comments. The lead sax was an RT, but the brass section was midi from Edirol Orchestral which is rather an old program by todays standards, but I still use it all the time. Cheers, ROG.

Very good work here - the arrangement is spot on, and the lyrics are delivered perfectly, as well as being all to relatable. Nicely catchy as well. I wouldn't change a thing here - thanks for sharing Hi Deryk, Many thanks for the positive comments. Cheers, ROG.

This is quite the jaunty number, init?
I, too, love the addition of the brass. I really like the vocal sound and melody on the "It doesn't matter..." lines. Awesome.
