I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

Looks great. How does it sound?

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Pretty good. I just gave it an A&R listen, but this week I will play it through some Line 6 models. One thing I liked about it was the P-90s. The other thing was the color and the matte finish. I don't have any guitars that aren't the shiny acrylic looking finish. Well, I didn't.

That Strat copy in the middle I only bought because it's pretty.

Kind of like why I married 3.0 way back in 2000!

Here's the whole farm!

I like it!!!

IMO P90s rule, and one volume knob (hopefully the one near the stop bar) is my favorite too. That way even if I'm using both pickups I can make quick adjustments to balance with the rest of the music.

Is one of the P90s Reverse Polarity, Reverse Wired?

I had an LTD Less Paul (pun intended) that had Mean 90s and one was RP/RW so in noisy situations I could put both pickups on and get rid of any hum.

BTW, I like the color too.

Just thought I'd chime in and say that's a colorful, fine looking family you have there.

I only have three guitars and all bought in the 70's.
You guys make me look like a real amateur.

Have a great day everyone....

No idea yet Notes. I am going to take it to my guy (Doesn't everybody who owns instruments have "a guy"?) and have him look it over and he will check. Plays pretty well. The frets don't hang over the ends of the fingerboard and none of them need crowning. I don't think this was used a whole lot. I won't get into playing it much until Monday.

While you are out Wednesday harvesting all the free Veterans Day food, stop into a local store and buy a guitar too!!!

I have a map routed for 6 Sheetz stations and 6 Little Caesars. That will be food for about a week for me!

Some of those Epi's and Squire's are pretty solid little guitars and well worth the money..... which is considerably less than the brand names.

This is revived from 6 months ago, but this the updated guitar farm. The Harley Benton acoustic sounds really nice but with the width of that neck it's like weightlifting to play it. I can only play it for a short time. I just ordered the white pickguard for the Jazzmaster. I wanted to get a black pickguard for the Sonic Blue Tele, but I thought WTH, I can buy a Squire Tele with a black pickguard and switch them. Maybe a red one which will end up red with a white pickguard.

Nice

Eddie did it again and reminded me of a song we wrote long ago (and never finished/released)
I give you the Louisiana Swamp Ash Cash Dash
When you just *have to buy it

http://bobandbarryshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Ashcash.wav

/Man we have a lot of fun around here, even when it amounts to nothing but fun
//Oren Fisher deserves a credit on this one (he's on the island in BC and we've never met, but we've had a lot of fun)

His opening lyric put me on the spot while we were writing this, but is also what makes this post relevant <grin>

In a true "dagummit" moment, my white pickguard for the Jazzmaster is the wrong size. The holes don't line up. Grrrr....

Measured things today. The screws that mount the 2 control wheels are 11/16" wider on the new pickguard than the old one.

Oren is a really nice guy. I know him through Kara-Moon. He's a hell of a good guitarist also.

Yes, yes he is on both accounts
He's still kickin', the wife and kids message him on FB occasionally (I gave that up years ago).

I should probably connect with him again, he's "good people" in my experience.
Kara-moon is likely where I met him too, though he does have an account here.
(is Kara-Moon even around anymore?)

Yes, Kara-Moon is still around and in fact Oren has just showed up again. He says he has more time now that he is retired.

If you wish I will try to contact Moon and let him know. Actually the site will look exactly like it did when you were on it. Moon just keeps it running in memory of his brother. There is not a lot of users or excitement going on over there.

Thanks
I see this as an opportunity to MAKE some excitement <grin>
I'll probably be guessing at passwords for a while even if I can get to the login.
I'm quite sure a 'forgot password' would go to some long abandoned email address.

Eidt:
Can you PM me a way to get to Moon?
I'd like to keep the my profile but a mod would need to help.
Heck I WAS a mod there for a while smile
